Full description
Visiting the Louvre with a special children’s guide is a fantastic way to give kids a taste of this important museum. Covering more than 650,000 square feet of space it is one of the largest, and busiest, museums in the world and an important landmark in Paris. The Louvre exhibits over 35,000 objects and it is said that it would take a visitor up to 9 months to see them all. Visiting a museum of this size with children may seem like a daunting proposition, but a successful visit is possible. Your tour guide will focus on 2-3 exhibits to keep the kids from becoming overwhelmed and losing interest or having a meltdown. Many children (as well as adults) are excited about seeing the Mona Lisa, so your visit will start there, and continue on after this requirement has been met!

Our family of four (kids ages 10 & 8) had a great time on our tour. We started at 3:15 or 3:30 which had me a little worried that the kids would be tired but our guide, Ivan, kept them engaged the full two hours. We covered a lot of ground and saw many highlights that we never would have been able to do on our own in the same amount of time.

Wonderful experience for our family of 4, including a 12 year old and 9 year old. The 9 year old was struggling with jet lag, but our guide was accommodating and was able to still keep the attention of my kids and we all learned a lot! Would definitely recommend it.

Ivan was our guide and did such a great job with our very young kids (ages 7, 5, and 3). I know the louvre isn’t the best place for kids, but he did a great job engaging them and keeping it fun and educational. So glad we did this tour instead of tried to navigate the louvre ourselves!
