Waiting in the heat for over Half an hour was not great for people, especially older and much younger people, water would have been nice, crowd control and the security man was quite aggressive, shouting and really he was not managing what he was hired to do, No one died! Very beautiful building, clearly signposted, and of course got to see mona from a distance, but overall a pleasant experience and Im happy I went. Thanks for asking, Sonia.

With the restrictions in numbers admitted into the Louvre, I decided to book tickets with a time slot. Got to the Louvre at 9:45, we went down via the Carousel entrance joined the queue for security check, got through in 10 minutes. Walked to the entrance barrier & scanned my bar codes on the tickets & went straight in, looked at my watch & smiled 10:00 exactly. We had a fab 5 hours looking around this fantastic museum. I highly recommend the getyourguide website for booking attractions in Paris, we did 5 other big attractions with no problems. Thank you getyourguide for an amazing time in PARIS.

Timed entry tickets worked great! At first I thought it was a pretty big line....but it moved quickly and we were in on time. FYI kids under 18 are free ( actually I believe people under 25 within EU are free, but we are Canadian ) ....you just have to order their tickets from the Louvre website and make sure to book the same date/timeslot as your paid tickets. I was only charged 3 Euro processing fee for the kids tickets, and they were emailed to me right away. Also be aware older kids may need ID to prove their age ( my son is 17 and they did look at his passport at the entry point ). The museum itself is incredible. We barley scratched the surface of one wing in our 4 hours there. I wish we had timed our entry earlier in the day to enjoy more of it.
