Full description

Wander through the Loire Valley's gorgeous castles and gardens. Travel along the King's Road to visit the Chambord, Amboise & Chenonceau Chateaux with our friendly driver-guide. Dine at "Au Gateau Breton," a charming 200-year old inn, for lunch. Discover the famous castles and gardens of the Renaissance with an all day tour of the beautiful Loire Valley. Let our friendly driver-guide pick you up from your Paris hotel. Visit the cradle of the Renaissance, Chateau Amboise, one of the first truly royal residences of its kind. Follow in the footsteps of the great kings of France as you view a magnificent example of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Next, stop at Chateau de Chenonceau. Admire the wealth of beauty both inside and out, which makes Chenonceau the most popular chateau in France. Learn about its tumultuous history as the castle passed from Lady to Lady. Then, you will have free time to enjoy lunch (not included), followed by a french wine tasting. After a full day wandering the castles and gardens of the Renaissance era, return to Paris aboard our deluxe minibus. The last stop will be at the royal Chateau de Chambord, one of the most recognizable chateaux in the world. Legend has it that Leonardo da Vinci, living at the Clos Luce in Amboise, made several plans and models for its construction.

While visiting Chambord, take pleasure in one of Europe's finest parks, covering over 13,000 acres, and is Europe's largest wooded park.

We had a wonderful day touring the Chateaus, our guide informative.

My only suggestion would be a different meeting place for pick up closer to our hotel. I believe this could easily be done if the tour operator would do some outreach to travelers. The current meeting spot was in a bad part of the city with late night party goers ending their evening. Other guests met at a different location that was near our hotel. This location was not provided to us, which was a sore spot to start off our excursion.

We loved it!

The tour was amazing, very informative, all the three castles were excellent choices. Food was also very good. I would like to give a special thanks to our tour guide, he was very fun and was always willing to help. I highly recommend this tour, the scenarios are very beautiful.

Good way to see Loire Valley from Paris

Lovely guide, comfortable minibus , very punctual and reliable, and the castles themselves are terrific. I would check if the lunch venue is different though - the lunch at Au Gateau Breton was really slow and very poor. The choice was "chicken fish or steak" with no menu or info re sauces or how it was prepared etc.... The steak was stringy and bland, the beans grey and soggily cooked, the "fish" an unrecognizable white tasteless something. My teen politely asked if he could have the hamburger instead ( we could see them being served at tables around us) - absolutely not ! The real menu looked better, and for a small group of 6 like us, and for this price - I really think it could have been a lot better. All in all I would say this company is worth working with as everything directly under their control went well......but I would check the dining situation first. It was without doubt the worst meal we had in 4 weeks in Europe.
