Full description
Tour starts at your hotel (if located in Paris) or at the central Paris meeting point. Your driver guide will pick you up in a cozy air-conditioned minivan at around 7.30 AM. Enjoy tasty croissants on the way to Champagne, while your guide tells you all you need to know about the sparkling universe of champagne! Once you arrive in Champagne, you'll start your day with a visit to a very prestigious Estate (Moët & Chandon, Mumm, Veuve Clicquot, Mercier etc. > depending on supplier availability). Discover never-ending galleries filled with bottles and of course, finish the guided-tour with a tasting. Back in your air-conditioned minivan, admire the landscapes and stop in the heart of the vineyard to enjoy a masterclass led by your wine expert guide. He will teach you the basis of the wine professional tasting. Next stop is for lunch in a family-run champagne house or at a local restaurant (depending on availability). You will have the chance to taste several glasses of champagne and ratafias (another local wine), paired with local food. Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, Champagne Rosé… what would you pair them with? After lunch, enjoy a digestive tour through the vineyard of the Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne. Learn the characteristics of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, and enjoy amazing views over the vineyard. Get ready to take some pictures! Last but not least, visit another family-run winery where you will learn the art of sabrage or disgorgement “à la volée” (a technique for opening a champagne bottle), depending on availability. Taste several delicious champagnes before heading back to Paris, where you will be dropped off in a central, Hotel de Ville.

This was an amazing day! Our guide Alex was wonderful.. his knowledge about wines particularly champagne was fabulous.. we felt as though we were truly champagne tasting masters by the end of the day. A great experience. The lunch was superb! We will recommend this tour to any of our friends coming to Paris

This tour was definitely worth it! I was picked up from my hotel and had fresh croissants waiting in the car. I think we had a total of 8-10 glasses. I lost count. Our tour guide/driver Roman was extremely helpful and fun. Very informational in the art of champagne making. The only hiccup in the trip was the place we went for lunch. The server was extremely rude to me, and kept singling me out as an “American” for putting my linen napkin on my plate. Such a jerk. Roman did apologize on his behalf, and my entire tour group had my back and made me feel better after that. But anyway, overall the tour and champagne was GREAT! A bit pricey, but worth the experience and knowledge I received. I went as a solo traveler and would recommend this tour to anyone. Round trip transportation, fresh croissants, amazing tour guide, 8-10 full glass tasting, became a champagne pro, ate grapes fresh off the vine, visited big champagnes houses and local family owned ones.. JUST BOOK IT!
