Know before you go
- The gardens close at 5:30 PM on certain dates (May 27, every Saturday between June 10 and September 23, July 14, August 15, October 29 and 31) and from November to March
- The palace gardens are free every day from November to March. No garden tickets are needed to visit on these dates. Prices have been adjusted accordingly. There are no musical or fountain shows on days when the gardens are free
- During peak times, the palace can be crowded, there may be a wait at the entrance due to various safety controls
- For the half-day tour option that departs Paris at 8:30 AM, the bus leaves Versailles around 2:00 PM to return to Paris
- For the half-day tour option that departs Paris at 10:30 AM, the bus leaves Versailles around 5:00 PM
- For the full-day tour option leaving at 8:30 AM and the half-day option leaving at 12:30 PM, the bus leaves Versailles around 6:00 PM
