Before meeting your guide at 8:45 AM at Le Peloton Café in Paris, take time to grab a craft coffee or delectable waffle to start you off. After meeting your enthusiastic guide and the rest of your group members at the café, you'll take the train together to Versailles. Upon arrival, the first stop will be at the Versailles farmer's market, one of the best in France. Get all the best recommendations on what to buy from your guide, and sweet talk the vendors for some delicious food. After the market, you'll ride into the amazing royal grounds and experience the legendary gardens of Versailles. Walk through the often-missed peasant village created for Marie Antoinette, and the Petit Trianon, which was her personal castle and residence. Stop next for a picnic through the gardens along the Grand Canal. Set your bike aside and sit in the grass to enjoy the view of the swans and castle. You'll later have free time to explore the Palace of Versailles at your own pace with an audio guide before returning to Paris by train.

Great tour - watch out for birds.

Great tour. Joshua was a great guide and the palace was amazing. Overall we had a great time - biking is the way to go. Warning - DO NOT leave food in your bicycle basket, even if it’s covered and tied up - the birds will eat your lunch in its entirety.

The best way to see Versailles!

I highly recommend this trip. You will see more of the city, chateau and grounds than is possible visiting by foot. Our guide, Mark, was exceptional. He created a fun, relaxing, and informative environment. My personal favorite part was shopping in the market and the picnic lunch by the Grand Canal. Take advantage of this opportunity to take a trip back in time at Versailles.

Great way to see Versailles

Great tour and a really good way to see all of Versailles and not just the main palace area most people see. Mark was an excellent guide and the small size of the group and personal nature of the tour was a real bonus, especially compared to other huge bike tour groups we saw on our travels. Really enjoyed the stop in the lovely market to shop for our picnic lunch.
