From Paris: Private Mont Saint-Michel & Normandy D-Day Tour

Start with pickup from Your hotel in Paris at 7:30 AM and depart for Normandy in an air-conditioned Mercedes E220 business-class car (for 2-3 people) a Mercedes minivan (3-7 people). Depart to Normandy American Cemetery at 11:30 AM and visit from 11:40-12:40 PM. See the Wall of the Missing which bears the names of 1,557 soldiers that went missing in action. The cliffs leading down to the beaches contain the remnants of the German defenses. Stop at the semicircular memorial colonnade with the sculpture “Spirit of American Youth Rising from the Waves” and large maps of military operations. At the Visitors Center, find a small Museum with a lot of information about Battle of Normandy. Head to Omaha Beach at 12:40 PM, it takes just 10 minutes to get there. From 12:50 - 1:10 PM visit the Monument SIGNAL at Omaha Beach. Learn about the huge sacrifice made by the 34,000 men who landed here on D-Day. At 1:10 PM make your way to Mont Saint-Michel. It takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to drive the 150 kilometers to get there. Arrive at 3:00 PM and stay until 6:00 PM. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Mont Saint-Michel and the Benedictine Abbey with your included tickets. Join the live tour in English or use the audio guide as an alternative if the live tour is unavailable. Walk up the narrow streets of the medieval village to the Abbey that is at the top of the hill. Admire panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean. First settled in the year 709, the Medieval village and beautiful Abbey fortress are dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. The construction of the Benedictine Abbey started in the 700s and continued through the 1200s. The whole island UNESCO-listed, as it has remained practically the same since the Middle Ages. Have some free time to enjoy Mont Saint-Michel before the 4-hour drive back to Paris. Stop at a rest area on the return trip and arrive back at your hotel in Paris at around 10:00 PM.
