this was an overall enjoyable day tour. the meeting place in Paris was off the beaten path but nonetheless the bus was comfortable. The Monet gardens speak to themselves, they are pristine. The tour guide on the bus was knowledgeable but not engaging, making the trip seem much longer than need be. The guide drops you off at the Garden entrance and leaves you on your own (disappointing as you want to hear about the gardens). The same goes from Versailles. A new guide was assigned, although nice, the tour provided a lot of repetitive info, slightly hard to hear from the ear sets with all the background crowd noise. This part of the tour felt extremely tour as the guide was not very engaging.

Giverny was nice though the guide for this portion of the tour did not do much explaining. Versailles guided tour was wonderful as our guide Alex was an expert in history and was able to bring the whole tour to life. We did not get to see the fountain show though due to an issue with the entrance tickets. The combination of both destinations made sense and the coach ride was extremely comfortable and time-saving. P.S. my rating for the guide below is only for the Versailles one.

The Giverny and Versailles guided tour was excellent for what we wanted. Our guides (Karen for Giverny and Anthony for Versailles) were amazing and very knowledgable. Only thing to note is that Giverny is more of a self guided tour, with Karen providing info and context on the bus prior to going into Monet’s house, which was fine as the house and garden were ideal for self guided. For Versailles, we had purchased the tour along with musical garden and fountain show. It wasn’t clear if this was actually required or if it is already I included in the regular admittance as the fountains and music were just part of the regular admittance. Overall, would recommend the tour if you want to have everything managed for you and don’t want to worry about lines, entrance and transportation ( as both attractions were outside of Paris) and wanted a short guided tour with information to supplement what you are seeing.
