Full description

Dive into Parisian life as you explore the famous Versailles Palace and Gardens on a guided tour.

See the king and queen's apartments, chapel, lush rolling lawns, and more while hearing about the extravagance of the French monarchy. Meet your English-speaking guide in Versailles where you'll begin your tour. With a maximum of 20 persons per group, your tour of Versailles will be intimate, unrushed, and enjoyable.

Skip the line with a pre-booked entrance to Versailles where your guide will lead you from one marvelous room to the next, pointing out where Louis XIV tormented his friends and family with long, boring ceremonies and where Marie Antoinette ate her cake. Marvel at the sheer size of the Palace of Versailles, one of the largest and most beautiful estates in the world with 700 rooms. Peruse its incredible array of fine art and the intricate design of its 1,250 fireplaces as you work your way through the highlights of the palace.

Stand in awe of the King and Queen's apartments, the chapel, the coronation room, the Hall of Mirror, and the Salon of Abundance. Following the interior tour, burst into the sunlight to encounter the ground's dazzling and manicured gardens with over 1,800 acres. On Thursdays, you'll have a tour of the gardens and some free time to wander or, when booking, choose a tour date when either the famous Versailles Fountain Shows or Musical Gardens are running.

Watch the fountains explode to the sounds of a cello for the Fountain Shows or be enchanted by the simple beauty of classical music during the Musical Gardens event. The ticket to these shows will be included in your tour price. When you're ready to leave, hop on the next train back to the city. As the train chugs along, reflect on the day of pure indulgence, slowly bringing yourself back through the centuries to modern-day Paris.

Brilliant! Very informative. We had let the company know we couldn’t make the morning schedule and they were able to accommodate us for the afternoon. The tour itself was definitely excellent value for money! The online chat service was very helpful.

The tour was good and worth the money to skip the line and learn about the palace. The guide was good but I didn’t like the fact that the tour waited 30 minutes to accommodate late comers entry to the place and the fact that once we finally entered the guide asked people to use restrooms if needed which further waisted previous time. We were short of time and if tour finished early could have used more time exploring the gardens. The guide was informative but was not happy with time management of the tour.

Our guide Marta was from Mexico, who came to France for a master's degree. She spoke a perfect correct English, without any Spanish accent. She talked slowly and it was very easy to understand. Since she had worked also as a guide in the Eiffel tower and the Louvre Museum, she gave us several connections between the Louvre and Versailles. We really enjoyed our tour and for our first visit it was ideal for not feeling overwhelmed with the amount of history this place has. We are planning coming back in the spring/summer for the gardens, because during the winter there are no flowers and most statues are covered for weather protection. Passage to the Gardens is included but the tour only covers the château.
