Couldn't have asked for a better tour. Batiste, our tour guide, was extremely approachable and accommodating. With his friendly demeanor, he made our group feel welcomed and ar ease with each other. He was also very knowledgeable about the subject matter and would go out of his way to find out information we wanted to know if he was unable to answer. SHOUTOUT to the best tour group as well, Le Char-doe-nay Shankers. You guys made the trip even more enjoyable with your hilarious antics and out-of-this-world stories.

A PERFECT day from start to finish…. And the PERFECT guide to make it all happen. Pick up from our hotel made it so easy… a stop to grab breakfast then a drive through the beautiful countryside to some wonderful champagne houses for a number of tastings. Thomas was amazing… fun, knowledgeable and engaging, he taught us a lot about the process of making champagne, the region and the different houses. We were a group of eight and one of us wasn’t feeling well… Thomas was very caring and accommodating, pulling the van over for a few minutes and later arranging a spot for her to rest while we took the ride through the caves. Lunch was first class and we ended the day at a spectacular overlook toasting with a glass of champagne our new friends and our amazing guide.

Tom was a wonderful driver/tour guide who made us all feel at home and was very knowledgable throughout the day and was happy to tailor the day to our groups needs. The group was a perfect size of 6 giving us the real sense of a private tour. Personally for me, although the Mercier tour was interesting through the caves on the train, the champagne isn’t that great. The last vineyard we visited at the hotel was by far the best offering for champagne. Lunch was very good and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have preferred to have visited Verve Cliquot on the trip but I know that that is in a different area. I think for the money spent on the tour I would expect a better quality of champagne to be offered. Nevertheless we all had a really good day.
