Amazing visit to Bruges! What a beautiful medieval city filled with waffles and chocolate. I had the little tour at the start, which was excellent. Lots of really interesting information and helped to get my bearings. Due to traffic it took us 4 hours to get there and 4 hours to get back, meaning we got back to Paris just after 9pm. There was a stop halfway on both trips. Not a problem, just for awareness. February was a great time to go as it was quite quiet and a lot less tourists.

It was very nice to know Bruges but for me 1 or 2 hours more there would be perfect. But in general was enough if you don’t spend to much time to buying stuffs. I suggest to know the city first and after go to shopping

Full description

Escape Paris for the day and cross the border to the capital of the West Flanders region of Flemish Belgium. The full-day tour, with round-trip transfers from central Paris, will take you to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bruges, sometimes referred to as the “Venice of the North.” Enjoy a guided walk of the historically rich center, admiring the gothic-style City Hall, the ornate Renaissance architecture of the Place du Bourg, and the 12th-century Basilique du Saint-Sang (Basilica of the Holy Blood), among other attractions. Free time will be allocated for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy Belgian specialties, such as traditional moules frites (mussels and French fries) and an extensive selection of Belgian beers. A visit to the Groeningemuseum, home to Flemish master painters, such as van Eyck and Hieronymous Bosch is a popular way to spend an afternoon in Bruges. Alternatively, shop for handmade lace and Belgian chocolates in the city’s boutique stores. During the summer season, choose the guided option to enjoy a boat cruise along some of the most famous canals of Bruges, built as far back as the 12th century.

Had a great trip! We opted for the package without the guide and enjoyed walking around Bruges on our own. Transportation was comfortable and I enjoyed being able to visit a new place and not have to worry about how to get there. Would do this again!
