What could be more romantic than a boat ride along Paris' Seine River? Here are five reasons why no visitor should resist the urge to jump on board the most picturesque of city cruises!
You may want to see the sights on a clear day, but the Seine really comes into its own beneath the setting sun. Watch Paris completely transform as night beckons.
Seeing the Eiffel Tower from below usually means views from the Champs de Mars park. Try it from the river instead, away from the swarms of other tourists!
See Paris' stunning bridges from another angle! Pont Neuf is the oldest, but there are as many as 37, each with its own charms.
The famous cathedral is essential viewing for any visitor, but see if you can sail past it at night without trembling before the eerily lit gargoyles!
Venture along the bloodline of Paris at any time of day and you'll find the city bursting with life. Try the Pont Des Arts and the urban oddity that is "Paris Beach" for starters!
A Seine river cruise can cost anything from €10 per person for a basic boat tour to upwards of €200 for a candle-lit, gourmet dinner cruise by night.
There are several Paris dinner cruise options available. Our advice? It's usually worth splashing out but be sure to size up the menu first! Some boat tours also include dinner at a restaurant elsewhere once the trip is over.

Very recommended! If one wants a Seine boat tour with maximum privacy, this is it. We got to the dock by bycicle (there's a Vélib' bike rent station nearby). Raphael, our captain, was there right in time. He is a very friendly openminded guy who explained a lot and answered every question we asked. The boat trip starts in the south west of paris near the Île Seguin giving you enough time to spend on the river enjoying the views of the historical buildings. Be sure: Everyone along the river will be jealous seeing you in a classic motor boat enjoying a glass of Rosé wine in the late afternoon sun. Definitly worth it.
I booked this for my partners birthday and what an absolutely amazing experience. Not only did we see all the outlined attractions, the food was top quality, and our host Nordine was an absolute gentleman! Not only was he attentive recommending the best cocktails, he allowed me to discreetly pay for a last minute suprise birthday cake add on (sparklers included) which I didn’t even know was an option. I would highly recommend this experience.
I had a great time. The hostess quickly switched to English so I could clearly understand. The mobile map made it easy to keep us with what attractions we were passing, but made it easy to just relax and enjoy the sights. I recommend this to everyone!
A great cruise alongside the most famous monuments in Paris about which an audio guide provides interesting information. The boat is very big so there is a lot of space. Crepe after the cruise is a delicious end to the experience.
Just got back to our hotel after a relaxing two and a half hour trip on the river . Raphaël is an excellent host for the private boat trip, very accommodating and knowledgable. He Speaks excellent English, and has a lovely boat !
