Full description

Visit the only place in the world that is able to grow and produce Champagne on a full-day trip from Paris. Learn about the history of Champagne master Dom Perignon from your guide. Depending on the option you choose, enjoy 2-3 glasses of champagne on your tour of champagne houses. Start the tour from Paris on a minibus that will take you to Champagne. Visit the quaint chapel of the Abbey at Hautvillers, which is also the gravesite of Dom Perignon, the father of Champagne. Then, meet with a local producer to learn about the wine growing process.

Enjoy a fully-guided tour at the House of Moët and Chandon, the world’s largest producers of Champagne, or Nicolas Feuillate Champagne if the House of Moet is not available that day.

Take a walk through part of their 40 kilometers of cellars. During the day, have the opportunity to taste at least 3 different types of Champagne and even pick up some bottles for souvenirs if you’d like.

Before heading back to Paris visit Reims Cathedral of Notre Dame, one of the defining models of Gothic art, and have free time to see the area where 25 iFrench Kings were crowned.

A very nice tour - a little long due to the length of the drive, but very nice. There was some redundancy in going to the local champagne maker's property and then Moet, but the first visit was far more intimate and enjoyable as the visit was for our small group only, whereas the Moet tour was for a far bigger group.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Brunelle. She was very chatty and made us all feel welcome. The champagne houses we visited were excellent (a small house and M&C) providing great insight into how this wonderful product is produced. Although this was primarily a champagne tour, Brunelle provided us with great insight into historic landmarks and moments of French history. The day was great, Èpernay was stunning and we were well oiled by the end! Would highly recommend, thanks!

Oliver was a great guide. He’s a good and interesting driver. The stop at the small champagne house was most interesting. His translation into English was fun. It was interesting that the tour had an independent and large champagne house. The cathedral at Reims was beautiful, there was enough time to explore. Thank you Oliver for a unforgettable tour.
