Enjoy a half day of sightseeing in Barcelona that combines a cable car ride up Montjuic Mountain, a coach tour of the city’s highlights, and a guided walk through central Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Experience the best of the city on this unique tour.
What to Expect
Begin your morning with a sightseeing tour by coach along the Passeig de Gracia, where you’ll see some of Gaudi's most famous buildings. Continue up to Villa Olimpica, taking in views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Barcelona coastline.
Next you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city and the harbor as you take the cable car up Montjuic Mountain.
Your coach will pick you up and you’ll pass by sports facilities constructed for the Olympic Games of 1992: the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi, and the Picornell Olympic Swimming Pool. You’ll then have a chance to see typical architecture and traditional crafts from different regions of Spain at Poble Espanyol.
From there, you’ll head back to central Barcelona for a walking tour of the old city center. Start out at Plaza de Catalunya, with its many fountains and statues, and continue to the narrow medieval streets of the Gothic Quarter with your local guide.
See buildings datings from the 15th century, including the Barcelona Cathedral, as your walk takes you to Plaza Sant Jaume, where important government buildings are located, including the Palace of the Generalitat and the Town Hall.
