Full description
Choose morning or afternoon departure time, then be ready with swimsuit and towel in hand for convenient pickup at your Bora Bora hotel. Get individualized attention from your dedicated guide on this three-hour private snorkeling tour from Bora Bora. Aboard a 23-foot (7-meter) speedboat, travel to an area frequented by humpback whales, then dive in to catch an underwater glimpse.  Your guide knows where the whales like to hang out, and will fill you in on whale-related facts and info as you travel. Once you find whales, the crew will determine if it is safe and whether it is the right time to get in the water with the enormous creatures. Strap on your mask, fins and snorkel and slide in quietly, accompanied by your guide. You will swim at a safe distance, being sure not to disturb the whales. Please keep in mind that since whales are wild animals, their presence can never be guaranteed. Return to your departure point the way you came, with some amazing memories.

Thanks to the captain

Very good organization, Thank you to the captain of the glell boat who is very professional and seeks to make the moment pleasant by personalizing the service. And we were able to live a magical moment of observation of a whale and its calf.

September 20, 2017

The captain and guide did not seem all that knowledgable. First, they admitted they went out with another tour the day before and didn't even find any whales. On our tour, they briefly found two whales, stopped the boat behind them but as we got into the water, the whales dove down. They then said the next time they found a whale they were going to motor to the front of the whale before we went into the water. They thought that would be a better strategy to keep the whale from diving down. It sounded like they weren't really sure of the best way to approach the whales. And honestly, if it's so close to the end of the whale season that the likelihood of seeing whales is marginal, I think it's unreasonable to still offer the tour, especially at a price of $600+. Our captain stopped to talk to another boat and that captain said they found 10 killer whales. Our guide then commented to us that he was disappointed that the other boat never let us know about the killer whales.
