A monastery is situated at the top of Pantokratoras, at an altitude of 917 meters . Known as the Monastery of Pantokratoras it now has only a single monk in residence. He will be your guide when you visit the church. After visiting the monastery, your next stop will be the village of Acharavi, which is set amid pine and olive trees. The village boasts a lovely sand beach, which is one of the longest in Corfu. This is a lively resort that features numerous shops, restaurants, bars, and tavernas. The final stop on the bus tour is on to the way back to Corfu town. Until recently, Kassiopi village was a quiet and picturesque fishing village with a lovely beach. The church of Panagia Kassopitras is said to have been built on the foundations of the ancient temple of Zeus of Kassiopi.
