Panorama Route

From Hazyview, the tour begins as it climbs towards the town of Graskop and the southernmost point of the Blyde River Canyon. Enjoy the panorama route which encompasses some spectacular scenery. Discover breathtaking views of the Blyde River Canyon and out over the endless Lowveld and beyond. Travel along the edge of the escarpment, to look out points offering magnificent views including God’s Window, Wonder View and the Three Rondawels. Along the route, visit the famous Bourke’s Luck Potholes – deep cylindrical cavities formed by thousands of years of water erosion at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers. Pilgrim’s Rest is also well worth a visit. This old mining town was established during the heady days of the gold rush in the late 1800’s, and the whole town is now lovingly preserved as a national monument. At lunchtime the tour will stop back in Graskop so you can have lunch at a restaurant, and if time permits, you can spend a while browsing in local shops or along the pavements. Street vendors sell an amazing variety of goods – from nuts and fruit to beaded necklaces and carved wooden animals. South of Graskop, where the Sabie River rises and numerous waterfalls tumble down the mountains, you will visit the beautiful Berlin Falls and Lisbon Falls on the way back to Hazyview.

Board an open Landcruiser for a 4h Sunset Drive, your first opportunity to experience the fauna and flora of Africa. Watch the magnificent African sunset and, after dark, use a spotlight to view nocturnal animals. Dinner at the Marula Tree Boma will be a BUSH BBQ. After dinner, continue with your Night Drive and overnight in en suite air conditioned chalets. Day 2 At sunrise, drive to the mighty Olifants River to enjoy a 4h Bush Walk. Your rangers will lead you through the bush at a pace you can handle. The thrill of following big animals will remain with you forever. Adrenalin surges will be acute, notwithstanding that your rangers are adequately armed. Return to Tremisana for brunch. Later you may sleep in your air-conditioned chalet, swim or read wildlife magazines in our Lapa Lounge. Lunch will be served in the Lapa at 13h30. At 15h30 we enjoy a 4h sundowner game drive. The rangers are in constant contact so as to be informed of the movements of the animals. Return to Tremisana at 19h30.in Africa. Day 3 Drive to the Orpen Gate of Kruger on a custom-built open-sided Game Viewer. You will have an opportunity to view game without intervening glass windows and also listen to and smell the denizens of the bush. We have regular stops at picnic spots, rest camps and places of interest. The Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi region’s open plains attract large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope, that, in turn, attract many predators. In fact this zone has the highest concentration of lions in Africa. Day 4 Enjoy another full day of game viewing in the Kruger National Park. Dinner and overnight at Tremisana. Day 5 Enjoy a Sunrise Drive. After breakfast, drive via the Panorama Route to see the scenic splendours including the Three Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon. We return to Johannesburg in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off by arrangement.

Dinner and overnight at Tremisana. Day 3 Drive to Kruger Park in your custom-built open-sided Gameviewer. You will view game without intervening glass windows and also listen to and smell the denizens of the bush. Here you will learn about the sterling work being done in rehabilitating injured and orphaned animals. You will get close and personal to some of the residents, including lions and leopards. Your understanding of Wildlife Conservation will be greatly improved. Return to Tremisana for lunch. After lunch we enjoy a 3hr game drive on Balule. Return to Tremisana for dinner and overnight. Day 5 Enjoy another full day of game viewing in the Kruger National Park.   Day 6 Enjoy a Sunrise Drive, After breakfast, drive via the Panorama Route to see the scenic splendours including the Three Rondawels and the Blyde Canyon. We return to Johannesburg in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off by arrangement.

DAY 1: We collect our clients from all hotels and guesthouses in Johannesburg as well as from O.R. Tambo Airport. We travel via farmlands to the picturesque Lowveld and on to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Balule Section of the Kruger Park. After a short break, during which you may unwind at the bar, have a swim or relax in the tropical gardens, we board the open Landcruiser for a 4h Sunset Drive. Your guide will show you various animals and birds and after darkness falls, we use spotlights to locate nocturnal species. Dinner will be an unforgettable BUSH BBQ at our Marula Tree Boma. After dinner continue the Night Drive and overnight in comfortable air-conditioned en suite thatch-roofed chalets. DAY 2: After breakfast you travel in an open-sided Gameviewer to the Orpen area of Kruger Park. The added elevation and absence of windows allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. Your qualified guide will show you various animals, large and small, that frequent this outstanding wildlife paradise. The zone of Kruger you visit has the highest percentage population of giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and impala that attract numerous lions and other predators. Dinner and overnight in your fascinating treehouse/chalet-on-stilts at Marc’s Treehouse Lodge. DAY 3: Enjoy a Sunrise Walk. After breakfast, drive via the Panorama Route to see the scenic splendours including the Three Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon. We return to Johannesburg in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off by arrangement.

Day 1: Departing from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport by 07:00am, you will travel east through the farmlands and onto the Kruger National Park. Arriving at the Adventure lodge located in Hazyview and only 15min drive away from the Phabeni Gate into the National Park, there is time check into your en-suite, air-conditioned accommodation (Chalet or tent,), freshen up and depart on your first Open vehicle safari drive in the Kruger National Park. This safari drive is for around 2 to 2 and Half hours. Return to the Lodge at Sunset for a beverage and dinner Day 2: Following an early wake-up call, there will be time for tea or coffee and rusks before departing for a full day open vehicle safari drive from approximately 06:00 to 15:30. Brunch is included along your route, and your guide will also stop for you to purchase refreshments further during the day. Dinner is served under the stars at the Private Lodge on the outskirts of the National Park. Day 3: Breakfast is served at the Lodge before departing on a full tour of the Panorama Route, home to the 3rd Largest canyon in the world and the largest vegetated canyon in the work. The 8 hour tour takes you to sites such as, Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon, 3 Rondavals, 1 of the numerous waterfalls along the route, Graskop and Pilgrams rest. Lunch is on your own account at one of the many stops along route. After a full day of scenic wonders, you will return to the lodge for a welcoming cold beverage and dinner. Day 4: You wake up early again and depart on an optional sunrise safari drive in the open safari vehicle. Relax around pool and after lunch go on an afternoon game drive. Transfer to Katekani in late evening. Day 3 After breakfast, you drive on an open Game Viewer to the ORPEN gate of Kruger Park. You will have a full day of game viewing and bird watching in this world-renowned game reserve. Return to Katekani for dinner and overnight. Day 4 You go on a short morning walk with an armed ranger. After breakfast, drive via the Panorama Route to see the scenic splendours of Blyde River Canyon including a stop at the Three Rondawels. We return to Johannesburg in the late afternoon. Airport drop-off by arrangement.

Day 1 – Afternoon Sunset Drive You will be picked up from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport and taken to Sekekama Tented Camp, where you will check in to your glamping site at 14:00. After some time to rest and enjoy the facilities, you will depart at 15:00 for a 3-hour open vehicle afternoon game drive in the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon in an open safari vehicle. You will get the opportunity to see some of the park’s most famous wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, before returning to camp at around 19:00 for a delicious boma fire meal and a peaceful night under the stars. Day 2 – Full Day Kruger You will get up early to be ready at 05:30 for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park. Your days may proceed in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. The exact departure times will be communicated to you the night before as it will be decided according to animal activity. Your Kruger Park safari will last 7 to 8 hours. You will have dinner under the stars (with that complementary glass of wine) every night, where you will share your experiences with others and make new friends. Day 3 – Full Day Panorama Route Tour You’ll wake up early to be ready for your unforgettable Panorama Route tour, bringing a change of scenery to your exciting 5 day safari. The Panorama tour will take you along an exhilarating and iconic route where you will witness the following unforgettable landmarks: Berlin Falls, God’s Window, The Pinnacle, 3 Rondawels, Blyde River Canyon. Your day may proceed in one of two ways: an early departure for the Panorama Route Tour with a breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. On your return, you will have dinner under the stars (with a complementary glass of wine). Day 4 – Full Day Kruger Today is a return to the magical sights and sounds of the bush. You will get up early to be ready at 05:30 for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park. Your days may proceed in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. Your Kruger Park safari will last 7 to 8 hours, so you should be back at the camp with enough time to relax before dinner by the fire. You will have dinner under the stars (with that complementary glass of wine). Day 5 – 1 Hour Bush Walk You will have another early morning, this time for an optional 1-hour bushwalk where you might encounter any animals you have not seen yet – and learn more about the bush itself. You can eat breakfast at your camp before being transported back to Johannesburg and dropped off at the airport, where you should arrive at OR Tambo International Airport between 17:00 and 18:00.

Day 1. Depart from the City of Johannesburg to Mpumalanga the province where the sun rises at 06:00am. Stop at the town of Dullstroom known for its crystal-clear dams, fishing, and outdoor activity, for refreshments and to stretch your legs before continuing on to the Blyde River Canyon which is a 26km long Canyon located in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It is the third-largest canyon on Earth, behind the Grand Canyon and the Fish River Canyon. While at the Bylde River Canyon explore God’s Window which will be also another stop for a picturesque viewpoint. Continue on to the Berlin Falls which are a waterfall in Mpumalanga, South Africa. They are located close to God's Window and are the highest waterfall in South Africa's Mpumalanga province. Bourke’s Luck Potholes will also be being amongst the best of Mpumalanga attractions as a popular geological attraction formed by water erosion, with walkways & bridges that take one’s breath away. Experience the Three Rondavels which are also amongst the offerings. The Three Rondavels which are three round mountain tops with slightly pointed tops, remarkably like the traditional round or oval African homesteads made with local materials called rondavels. After the Panorama Route, make your way to Protea Hotel Hazyview which is where your overnight accommodation is. Day 2. Awaken at dawn and listen to the birds before driving out of camp hoping to find some of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo). Enjoy a hearty breakfast, then continue to a waterhole to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds before returning to your camp for a siesta or perhaps an afternoon swim. The Kruger National Park, in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest game reserves. It has a high density of wild animals which includes the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalos. Hundreds of other mammals make their home here, as do diverse bird species such as vultures, eagles, and storks. Mountains, bush plains and tropical forests are all part of the landscape Leave the lodge at 5.00 Am to start looking for wildlife till late in the afternoon. At around 5 pm head back to Protea Hotel in Hazyview and relax and start looking at the photos taken and remembering the great fun had. Day 3. Wake up in the morning at Protea Hotel in Hazyview and enjoy your hearty breakfast before checking out of overnight accommodation at 10:00am and heading back to Johannesburg. Enjoy the scenery some more on your journey back reflecting on the memories you had.

Admire wares from local vendors along the way, from nuts and fruits to beaded necklaces and carved wooden animals. Visit the Berlin and Lisbon Falls South of Graskop where the Sabie River rises, and marvel at the numerous waterfalls tumbling down the mountain. Finish the tour here before returning to accommodations in Hazyview.
