Live an enriching experience at each stop: Heading to the hotel and picking you up at 7:30am, we start the tour visiting: -Miraflores Visitors Center ( The Panama canal) you will watch the vessels doing its lockage and how the Panama Canal works its operation. Also, you will whatch the movie in IMAX technology narrated by the famous actro Morgan Freeman. -Administration Building (The Monument of George Washington Goethal Built in 1914.) -Casco Antiguo (The Colonial City of Panamá) You will visit Tomas Herrera Square, Independence Square, French Square, Simon Bolivar Square and some church such as: Mercy Church, San José Church, The Metropolitan Cathedral among others. -Amador Causeway A beautiful place located in the pacific side of Panama, comprised of three Islands, you will stop by at Flamengo's Islands where you be able to take picture with the famous Panamá sign. Also you will visit the duty free store. - America's Bridge You will see the mouth of the entrance to the Panamá Canal, also the beautiful view of the harbours Once you have enjoyed all the places I will drive you back to the hotel. Please note: We offer both morning and afternoon tours starting at 7:15am and at 1:00pm. Your friendly, bi-lingual driver and tour guide will meet you at your Panama City lodging from where you will continue on towards the famous Panama Canal. At the visitor center you will be able to observe the exciting activity of the Miraflores locks where you can marvel at the gigantic container ships making their approach into the locks lifting them above sea level. Stroll around the Miraflores visitor center and learn about the colorful history of the canal and its arduous construction. The visitor center also has a new IMAX theater featuring a 45 minute documentary. Alternatively, for those who do not want to enter the Miraflorese Visitor Center and pay the entrance fee we could watch the transit of ships from an observation area near the Pedro Miguel Locks. Returning to the city through Balboa and the old colonial Canal zone, formerly occupied by the USA, we continue to the Amador Causeway and its amazing Panama City skyline views. The Amador Causeway connects 3 islands at the Pacific Ocean entrance to the Panama Canal. Enjoy the fresh ocean breeze and many photo opportunities, including the Panama Sign. Lastly, we will head to Casco Viejo, via the awe-inspiring Cinta Costera road with its breathtaking Panama City skyline sights. As we reach Panama's old town, Casco Viejo, we will start walking along the many romantic alleyways and visit the four plazas (nominated UNESCO World Heritage Sites) with their spectacular architecture and rich history. Take your time admiring the historic buildings, cafes, unique boutiques, restaurants, bars and entertainment options.
