Although it may come across as as little chaotic it really is a very organized adventure with the guna yala people. Take the time to try to get to know them a bit. Make sure someone in your group speaks good Spanish . It’s hard to believe that there are cultures and land that are still untouched. They still have a paradise and we are lucky they allow us there. The food is delicious. All beer, soda and water are $2. I would recommend just buying it from them. The portions of food filled us up. The amenities on the islands vary from island to island but are really quite decent considering you are in the middle of the ocean. Be prepared to be wet pretty much all day long. If you have someone who gets car sick then make sure they sit in the front on the car on the drive in and out. We stayed for 4 days and just know that although you may not be sure what you are doing day to day or exactly know where you going day to day they know who you are and where you are. You won’t be left behind.
San blas islands truly are a paradise and we were so grateful we got to witness them. The journey from Panama City was very windy so make sure if you get travel sickness to be prepared. I would make sure you have money on you in advance for the trip as the cash machine on the way was out of order for us. The food you are given is tasty and you get a choice. The days are packed full of trips to different islands, snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding. The tour guides are lovely, there isn’t much communication with regards to what’s going on but I think it’s because of the language barrier we had speaking English. We just went with the flow and enjoyed every second. Waking up on a tiny island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea makes up for it all! Unfortunately our trip got cut short due to the protests in Panama but get your guide sorted out a refund for us with the company within days. We were so upset we couldn’t do the full tour but ho
