We had a great day hiking in the Chagres National Forest. Dan took us in a private car and was an excellent guide that took the time to tell us about Panamanian history on the ride out, all while helping my wife stay safe during the hike and helping her traverse the slippery terrain. Definitely bring water shoes for the hike and a change of clothes! The Embera tribe was very welcoming and we had a great time visiting them. I’d highly recommend taking this trip.

Cesar was a bit late, picking me up due to traffic, but he definitely made up for it with providing an amazing experience! The canoe ride along the river to get to the waterfall was beautiful and so worth it! The hike can be a bit of a challenge, but definitely doable if you are healthy! Visiting the Embera village was also a beautiful experience in hearing the villages, traditions and culture. It was a unique moment to get to witness the tribe blessing a new house they recently built. Cesar was part of the ceremony, too! He was a really helpful guide. If I return to Panama, I would definitely do this tour again .

We were thrilled with the trip and enjoyed every aspect of it. The hike to the waterfalls was great and while a little challenging at times the hikers were taken such good care of by the guides. The experience at the village is so authentic and genuine and the villagers are gracious and wonderful hosts. We want to say a special thanks to Estoban as he was an exceptional guide. His knowledge of the history of panama and his passion for his country was so evident and he genuinely cared about the welfare of those he is providing service to.
