Palm Springs: Aerial Tramway Round-Trip Ticket

Palm Springs: Aerial Tramway Round-Trip Ticket

From top to bottom, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway delivers a scenic and educational journey as you travel through 5 transitional zones. Some have compared it to taking a ride from Mexico to Alaska in just 10 minutes. See for yourself as you ride up to the top, where spectacular views await! The 2.5 mile (4 kilometer) ride from the Valley Station (elevation 2,643 feet, or 805 meters) to the Mountain Station (elevation 8,516 feet, or 2,596 meters) transports you from the warm desert sands to cool mountain air, with temperatures that are generally 30-degrees cooler than on the ground. The tramway is the threshold of the 14,000-acre Mt. San Jacinto State Park, a natural place with some of the last pristine wilderness in Southern California. In the winter, try cross-county skiing or snowshoeing. Rental equipment is available at the Adventure Cether, snow conditions permitting. During the summer months, camping, guided nature walks, and 54 miles (87 kilometers) of hiking are available. The ride in the cabin is spectacular and we were lucky because there were only about ten of us going up! So we were able to enjoy the view to the fullest 👍 Once at the top it was much cooler 🙂 And there is a path that allows you to go down into the forest, picnic tables are set up so it is worth going up with your picnic 😉 We didn't have much time because we were only passing through Palm Springs on the way to San Diego so we went back down quite quickly but it is possible to go hiking in the forest. On the way back the cabin was a little fuller but it was not a problem and above all the gentleman in charge of the cabin played us music, American songs that the whole cabin started singing in unison! A great atmosphere with always breathtaking landscapes! So a very nice experience even if it is a nice budget for 4 people (2 adults + 2 young people aged 18 and 21 = €120).

We really enjoyed the entire experience. Would liked to have seen more than just one table outside on the upper deck by the Pine’s Cafe. We really wanted to eat outside and enjoy the view but that one table was never empty. Other than that, it was really a wonderful day.

Beautiful ride up and down through the revolving floor. There was enough to do at the top and the food and drinks were delicious. The walking routes are very good to do with small children who walk themselves, they are not too long and there is a nice climb.

amazing never knew there would be a forest 40 degrees cooler than the desert below up there. the ride down the mountain was like a 10 minuet party definitely worth the money

Amazing to see the desert on one side of you and a mountain side full of trees and greenery. Well worth the visit.
