Sergio was amazing - he took care of the group on tour. A guide and driver combo , he was very courteous and helpful. I loved the segesta temples and ruins but Erice was truly wonderful - took you back many centuries !!

Segesta and Erice are worth seeing and the price was worth it so as not to make the drive yourself. Our guide Michael was fantastic, switching between 4 languages to address everyone’s needs. A tip - walk to the temple first at Segesta-the other sites (that a bus will take you to) are not as well preserved. It took longer than the 8 hours expected -just be aware.

Full description

This popular 8-hour itinerary takes you to see the most interesting sites of western Sicily.

On This Tour you’ll visit and explore Segesta, a Greek archaeological site. Travel to Nubia and the Salt Pans in Trapani, and admire the Sicilian coast and natural landscapes en route. You’ll also stop at Erice, a medieval hilltop town.

Enjoy spectacular views throughout the day. All of the sites are relatively near Palermo, meaning that you’ll have plenty of time to explore each of them.

This itinerary is also known as the Elimians's Road, named for the Elimians who were among the first inhabitants of this part of Sicily.

Reasonable amount of time in Segesta, although I think seniors will have a difficult time trying to see all the places since they are so far apart. Erice was problematic to cover in 2 hours too due to the challenging landscape. I never bothered with a pass because I know there won't be enough time to go in and out and cover all the places.
