Discover the top sights in Palermo from a unique angle on this guided walking tour. Every stop is a chance to pause for reflection on the realities of the Mafia and consider the civic movement against Mafioso power.

Meet your guide and begin your mafia-themed adventure thorugh the streets of Palermo. Explore Teatro Massimo, the open-air market "Il Capo", Piazza Della Memoria (Memorial dedicated to prosecutors and judges killed by the Mafia).

Stroll by sights like Piazza Beati Paoli, the Cathedral, the City Hall, and Piazza Magione. Meet shopkeepers who avoided paying the Pizzo and who have subscribed to the ethical consumer campaign ‘Pago chi non Paga’ (I pay who does not pay).

The guide was engaging and informative. I was initially skeptical of taking a 'mafia' tour because I didn't know if it was going to in some way glorify it as the media often does but it was a candid and interesting explanation of the past and present of the influence of the mafia in Sicily and elsewhere. Recommended.

Our guide Valerie was excellent. Very informed and would totally recommend her. Our tour was at the end of the day and I found the timing excellent as there were fewer people around & we were able to hear her well. We went the next day and explored places she suggested in the day time. We visited the Teatre Massini on her recommendation and booked tickets for the opera that evening. What a wonderful experience
