Full description

Explore the main markets and backstreets of Palermo city center with a local food expert. Escape the usual tourist traps and discover venues loved by the locals for a fully immersive foodie experience.

You will easily find arancini around the streets but there is only one place in town that still makes the thousand-year-old recipe, you will find it on this tour. Your guides will have selected various bouquets of traditional street food for you.

Enjoy veggie fritters, soft ravazzata with spinach, and a challenging offal sandwich. All tours end with a seasonal dessert. The amount of food will substitute for your lunch. Venture down secret alleyways to chat with street food vendors and colorful characters.

Enter the oldest working-class bar downtown and share a drink with Palermitans. The small group tour will allow you to interact with your local guide and collect the best tips to enjoy the city like a local.

This is a truly authentic street experience. Local guides discuss many topics besides cuisine in order to make you feel the real street spirit of Palermo.

This tour was such a great way to discover the markets with a local! Antonio was a fantastic guide. He made us try incredible street food whilst giving us an insight of history and traditions. Yes, you can visit the markets and buy food on your own, but you wouldn't get the story behind it, meet the people cooking the food, take a sneak peek of the kitchens. I would recommend to his tour to anyone visiting Palermo for the first time!

This tour was the perfect way to begin our stay in Palermo. It was a great introduction to not only some fantastic street food ( especially the aracina) two markets, fantastic gelato, a classic dive bar and yes a whole lot of carbs but also helped us get a feel for Palermo and Palermians . It was entertaining and enlightening. I highly recommend

I always do a food tour when I arrive to a new city. It’s so helpful to have locals give the ins and outs/do’s and don’ts while eating local fare. Angelo was wonderful! Super knowledgeable, personable and fun. I had the best arancina of my life and could not recommend Palermo or the food tour more highly.
