    The Gallery is the part of Palazzo Doria Pamphilj behind which lies the most interesting and oldest history, made up of nobility, politics and the unions between some of the most important noble families. The Masterpieces: the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj has housed for centuries this unique private collection. It is not only the quality and the value of the masterpieces that is remarkable but also their great number: there are so many that completely cover of the walls of the apartments and the wings of the fantastic galleries. You will find Caravaggio, Tiziano e Raffaello and many other well known Italian artists amongst the art collection housed in the gallery.

    The gallery was really good but one thing I would recommend to my fellow travelers who do not speak Italian is to either be here with a guide or opt for the audio tour. There isn't a lot of information on the paintings in English so even though we see them we don't really know anything about them.

    There is no audio guide which you can rent on site (maybe some application available but was nit clear for us), so we didn't understand the “whole picture” of the site and it its fine arts. It was good the although our tickets were for 14:00 , they allowed us to use them later ; we cam at 17:00 .. but the place has not enough lightening in the villa to admire it fully . Nice gallery, nice location

    Wonderful Gallery full of great art; Velásquez”s portrait of Pope Innocent is not to be missed. The gallery of mirrors is amazingly beautiful. Also, the staff were very kind and let me in earlier than my pre-booked time as it was quiet. There’s a lot of renovation work going on so hopefully it will be even better once that is finished.
