The Gallery is the part of Palazzo Doria Pamphilj behind which lies the most interesting and oldest history, made up of nobility, politics and the unions between some of the most important noble families. The Masterpieces: the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj has housed for centuries this unique private collection. It is not only the quality and the value of the masterpieces that is remarkable but also their great number: there are so many that completely cover of the walls of the apartments and the wings of the fantastic galleries. You will find Caravaggio, Tiziano e Raffaello and many other well known Italian artists amongst the art collection housed in the gallery.

Actually very interesting and beautiful, but we booked 2 tickets for 6 p.m. and of course paid for 2 audio guides. Unfortunately they only had one. Sharing is fine, but unfortunately the guide was pretty quiet and it's just annoying to book and pay for something in advance and then not receive it but also not get any compensation.

Wonderful Gallery full of great art; Velásquez”s portrait of Pope Innocent is not to be missed. The gallery of mirrors is amazingly beautiful. Also, the staff were very kind and let me in earlier than my pre-booked time as it was quiet. There’s a lot of renovation work going on so hopefully it will be even better once that is finished.

Actually we only received a bar code and payment confirmation, against which we obtained the tickets at the the ticket office. The museum was not crowded, much less than at the main stream places. However I consider the Palazzo Doria Pamphilij a must see in Rome and not worse than other places like Villa Borghese. Less people leave you more room to enjoy art pieces like Caravaggios, Tizians, Rafaels etc etc.
