What People Are Saying About Palatine Hill
Very informative and entertaining. Not a moment wasted and allowed ample time for pictures and breaks. Worth every penny!!!! 10 stars
Sylvia our guide was a delight. Beautiful, thoughtful, kind, she brought out so much for us to capture yet not overwhelming us. She addressed us all from the two small young ladies in our group to the rest if us as if we were the only one waking with her as she confirmed our expectations of fluid amazement. Skip-The-Line left us thankful after seeing 400+ standing in line. Your crazy if you don't do it. After entering the Vatican and throughout the entire tour, Sylvia truly impressed us with her professional knowledge while allowing us to better understand the history as we experienced it though her words, language, emotion and sincere belief of the riches displayed. While we accepted both tours of the Vatican and Coliseum, they really should be done on separate days. The Coliseum was really challenging during the 93 degree day and extremely long walk. Eddie our guide knew his history yet after 2-1/2 hours of walking, exhaustion set it and that was before we entered the Coliseum.
A lot of relevant information. Guides talking English language very good. Nice and friendly guides, good service.
As soon as you see the queue for the Vatican you know you made the right choice! Our guide Valeria was knowledgeable and funny! In the time available we saw the highlights: Raphaels rooms and the corridor of maps was breathtakingly. Plenty of time to gaze upwards at Michelangelo's masterpiece and back through st Peter's basilica. Even got to enter through the holy door, it being jubilee year. In the afternoon we did the colosseum tour. Not for the unsure footed. Palatine hill views were incredible and Angla our tour guide was brilliant. Definitely recommend this tour. We wouldn't have understood half of what was going on otherwise. Only downside was trying to find the initial meeting points. Even the locals struggled!
The morning tour in the Vatican was a bit of a let down. Maybe expectations were too high. The guide lacked a certain element of enthousiasm. The afternoon at the Colosseum was a great success. The tour was interesting, the guide was great. Lots of energy and very dedicated.
