What people are saying about Palace of Versailles

Overall rating

4.4
(25,548 reviews)

The access tickets gave us access to the gardens for the period before our access to the palace began and we could I assume, return to the gardens afterwards although we did not wish to return. The gardens were not overcrowded and we enjoyed our visit. The palace was quite crowded but the numbers of visitors was not excessive. My wife and I are both in our 60s and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to both the Palace and the gardens.

I thought the guide was well versed in the history of the garden and the building and I really think he did a great job guiding us through a VERY packed tour of the rooms.

Francesca was an amazing guide and she did a fantastic job walking us through the Palace Gardens and explaining them in great detail!

long wait even with tickets. better if you tell people to download audio and map prior to visit

Our guide was extremely informative and very engaged with our group.
