This 2-hour program begins with a comfortable ride from your Bucharest accommodation to the astonishing Palace of the Parliament.

Along the way you’ll be able to take in some of the city’s main attractions. A professional driver will drop you off in front of the building and provide you with your entrance ticket. You’ll begin the visit accompanied by a guide from the Palace of the Parliament.

The massive building still raises controversy even 27 years after the construction began. More than a symbol of the Ceausescu era, the edifice stands today as a reminder of the price Romanian people had to pay to satisfy the selfish whims of the dictator and his wife. The estimated cost of the building was almost €4 billion.

Built and furnished exclusively with Romanian materials, the palace reflects the work of the country's best artisans. A guided tour takes visitors through a small section of dazzling rooms, huge halls and quarters used by the Senate (when the Senate is not in session).

The interior is a luxurious display of crystal chandeliers, mosaics, oak paneling, marble, gold leaves, stained-glass windows, and floors covered with rich carpets.
