Full description
Board your vessel in Paihia or Russell and take in the stunning views as you glide out through the islands. Cruise along the Rakaumangamanga Peninsula to Cape Brett, where a historic lighthouse keeps watch over the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’.  The natural sculpture was created from centuries of sea and wind erosion, and is one of the most popular attractions in New Zealand. Admire the sheer rock walls that soar above you. According to Maori legend, local warriors used to paddle through the Hole in the Rock in their canoes before departing for battle. Drops of water from the cave roof above were a good omen. If conditions permit, hold your breath as your skipper expertly navigates the ship through the narrow space. If you get dripped on, consider yourself lucky! Take in the Grand Cathedral Cave before heading back into the sheltered waters of the Bay. Keep an eye out for common and bottlenose dolphins, whales and other marine life. Your friendly crew has years of experience locating dolphins in these waters. Cruise in comfort aboard the Dolphin Seeker with indoor and outdoor seating plus the largest outdoor viewing decks in the Bay of Islands. Bring your own food or purchase some of the delicious hot and cold food available on board. The purpose-built catamaran is also licensed by the Department of Conservation for dolphin viewing.

Crew were excellent. Very Profesional and super friendly, great local knowledge. We were lucky enough to see a huge pod of dolphins. The boat was very clean and well looked after. Skipper was amazing, he made shooting through the hole in the rock look so easy. Great skill and confidence. Felt very safe on board. Three in our party including our 5 year old grand daughter. Highly recommend this trip. 5 stars... well done guys.

Excellent experience. Good commentary but not loud and continuous. Gave you time to enjoy the moment. Calm enough to go through the 'hole' which was great. Didn't see dolphins unfortunately but we made the most of the free trip if you didn't see them first time. Saw the dolphins that time so the bonus trip was worth it.

Fantastic experience! Unfortunately due to weather we were unable to visit the Hole in Rock. However the crew accommodated and I appreciate the decision you made in order to keep us safe. The captain Teina made it a wonderful experience. Beautiful scenery, insightful commentary and a great full value for money. Highly recommend!
