Discover the treasures of The Scrovegni Chapel, known by the surname of its patron Enrico, dedicated to Santa Maria della Carità and famous all over the world for the extraordinary cycle of paintings by Giotto.

The work is the greatest fresco masterpiece of the artist and testifies to the profound revolution that the Tuscan painter brought to Western art. Giotto's presence endowed the famous Scrovegni Chapel with a very important cycle of frescoes that you will have the opportunity to discover.

The frescoes in the Chapel are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to their uniqueness and intense coloring. The frescoed cycle of the Scrovegni Chapel has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2021 as part of the serial site "The frescoed cycles of the 14th century in Padua".

You are also given an audioguide made up of 7 tracks including information regarding the university of Padua, Erbe square and, obvoiusly, the Scrovegni Chapel.

Beautiful chapel, audio guide wasn't very good. If you know your Bible well, you'll recognize the scenes, but the audio guide could have explained them a bit more; there are some unusual things in the pictures. For example, the high priest Caiaphas tears his outer garments. Why? What does that mean?
