Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Follow in the footsteps of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and other characters from the Harry Potter movies. J.K. Rowling applied to study at Oxford University and so she was familiar with Oxford.

When they were producing the films, Rowling walked the producers around Oxford, pointing out various sights which they could use, such as the statue that looks like 'Nearly Headless Nick', and Turf Tavern Lane, which looks like Knockturn Alley.

This tour showcases where the Harry Potter movies were filmed in Oxford. It includes entry to 1 film site only via the Divinity School, where they filmed the classroom, dance, and infirmary scenes.

You will be passing the city's famous sights and colleges from the outside. You will also be provided with lots of insights about the actors, the producers and about JK Rowling's inspirations. As you walk around, you will take part in a Harry Potter quiz to test your knowledge of the books and films. The guide will also describe how student life in Oxford compares with Hogwarts.

We had a phenomenal experience with Peter at Oxford. My daughter, a ferocious and passionate fan of Harry Potter had a blast. His knowledge of the sites and the extra stories made the tour really special. We also appreciated the quick stop for a shake at Mo mo’s that was a must for a hot weather, it made three kids very happy! Appreciate the experience and will definitely recommend for any family who wants to spend a fun couple of hours in Oxford and want to make it an unforgettable experience!!

Highly recommend! Our guide, Michiel, made our Harry Potter tour through Oxford both informative and entertaining, by showing architectural, cultural and historical touch points with famous fantasy writers (and more). We also enjoyed that he made sure to create an interactive experience, including for our 12-year old group member who could test his knowledge of the Harry Potter world in little guessing games.

Professor Mikhiel was extremely knowledgeable both about Harry Potter and Oxford - great for both myself and my son (11yo). We love Harry Potter but are not fanatical so it was a good balance for us! Thank you very much for the informative and very pleasant tour. We learnt a lot and it has hopefully inspired my son to try and study at Oxford one day!
