Really fun time! We had a blast, biking in Amsterdam was awesome. IMPORTANT TO NOTE THOUGH: 1) This is SELF GUIDED. We loved this because we aren’t the most athletic people so we appreciated going at our own pace, we could stop for breaks when we felt like it. 2) There is an app that guides you to spots. We had already seen some spots on another tour, so we didn’t do it all, it would’ve been too much biking for us. But you can still play all audio clips in the app to get the info. 3) Pay attention to their instructions. For us, near the windmill there was construction, but that’s okay the people at the office told us ahead of time and gave us an alternate path. 4) Bring water and some money. The ferry’s we’re free but the bikes lock so if you want more water or a snack or something you can buy it. 5) You can use Google maps and cross reference it with their app, this way you could have earbuds or such and get instructions while you bike, instead of stopping/ starting. Loved it!

We loved the tour. Miriam was great at explaining how to ride a bike in Amsterdam and she kept track of us really well. I thought her stories and knowledge were very interesting and it is incredible to hear about the country from someone who has lived there for many years. I would totally recommend the bike tour for a cultural experience in a biking city! The biking itself was not too difficult but I wouldn’t recommend it for someone who is not comfortable on a bike as you have to watch out for traffic and maneuver around corners and between poles. Biking in Amsterdam with a guide felt much safer than just heading out on our own for the first time. Plus there are fines for people who try and navigate with their phones as they are riding, so I wouldn’t recommend that. The only thing I might change is to make the tour slightly longer to allow for a few more picture opportunities and to have a few more minutes at the bathroom/rest stop break. Other than that it was fantastic.
