Full description

See the Oslo fjords from a traditional wooden boat and enjoy a buffet dinner as you take in the dramatic scenery. Admire the Bygdøy peninsula and cruise the network of waterways that stretch almost into the city center. The 3-hour evening buffet cruise will get you up-close-and-personal with the city’s dramatic scenery, while enjoying the ambiance of a fully restored ship, renovated to its former glory.

Sail past numerous islands, including Hovedøya, and the Dyna Lighthouse. Navigate the narrow inlets and dip into sheltered bays to capture the capital on camera from different angles. The boat will pass close to the Bygdøy peninsula, housing many interesting museums as well as beaches such as Huk Bay. See the Maritime Museum with its veteran sailing ships moored outside, and the impressive Fram Museum, housing the polar ship of the same name. During your cruise, a buffet of Norwegian shrimps will be offered, while the bar will provide a wide range of hot and cold drinks (drinks not included).

This was a really fun evening! We were last on the boat, so we invited ourselves to sit with a group of other travelers and they welcomed us. The boat was crowded. The shrimp was an interesting cultural experience-- it was whole shrimp that you had to take apart, some bread, lettuce and dill.

It was good! Make sure you arrive early in order to get a good seat. I was a bit uncomfortable since I had to share a bench with very big guys from the opposite table. I don't think you get that problem in the center row. There was a live band which was AMAZING, very nice R&B and Blues band. The shrimp buffet was ok, nothing exceptional. But overall, we had a really good time on board and the sightseeing was also amazing.

It was a beautiful scenic tour. Saw lovely scenery and houses. Boat was comfortable. Only food was boiled shrimp and bread. It was what we expected but one in our party did not want to peel the whole shrimp but she still enjoyed it. I would recommend the evening cruise during the spring/summer.
