Explore the World Heritage Site of Horyu-ji Temple on a guided tour. Learn about the history of the temple and the town of Nara-Ikoma. Try your hand at writing your name in kanji, and enjoy a special lunch of local chicken dish, Tatsuta-age.
Meet your guide at the Horyu-ji i Center in front of the Horyu-ji Sando bus stop. Admire the world's oldest wooden building, a World Heritage Site, as you explore the temple with your guide.
Move to the location of the kanji experience after your temple tour. Use a brush pen to write your name in kanji. This is a new form of calligraphy in which you can freely enjoy writing brush characters with a single brush pen.
After your kanji experience, make your way to a special lunch at a historic building. Enjoy a special lunch of Tatsuta-age, a local chicken dish.
