Enjoy an overnight self-guided tour to the World Heritage site, Mount Koya, where you can stay at the Temple Lodging, and enjoy traditional vegetarian meals. Mount Koya has been home to an active monastic center for 1,200 years. This tour includes a free and easy self-guided tour, travel on a train and bus to the mountain, and an overnight at one of the temples.

Don't forget to participate in morning prayers at the temple and immerse yourself in local rituals that have been kept for centuries. These temples do not accept walk-in guests to stay overnight, and only selected providers can reserve, so enjoy this special experience.

Pick-up tickets at Nankai Information Center (opening hours: 9:00-20:00 /*Except on 31Dec-3Jan: 10:00-18:00) Information Center is located in Nankai Namba Station, 1st floor. You can find long stairs and escalators at there, Information Center is in front of its long stairs. *Ticket pick-up time: From one day before (12:00 p.m.) or tour departure date (9:30 a.m.).

• Temple rooms will be selected based on vacancy, not individual choice
• Room will be equipped with private toilet
• Not all rooms have a shower, so please use the big bath in the temple
• Temples restrict people with tattoos from using baths
• Mt. Koya is up in the mountains, so please wear warm clothes and rain gear
• Maximum occupancy of rooms are 5 people, multiple rooms will be allocated in case of booking more than 6 people
• On day of trip, pick-up your tickets at Nankai Information Center
• Take the train from Nankai Namba Sta. - Gokurakubashi Sta. (via Hashimoto Station) by express train (you must take an express train departing at 10:02 at the latest). From there, you will take a cable car to Koyasan station and then take Nankai Rinkan bus
