Orvieto is an old town located on a tufa outcrop 300 feet above the gorgeous Paglia Valley below. Excellent tour experience! We had decided to take a day trip to Orvieto and this tour was a perfect way for us to see and learn as much as possible about Orvieto in a short timeframe. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about Orvieto's history and culture and being a local was passionate about it. Since it was a private tour, we were also able to customize it as we went which allowed us the option of exploring some of the underground structures/caves. At the end of the tour, we realized that our train departed before restaurants opened for dinner, but our guide called a restaurant owner she knew and asked them to open for us, which they did. Perfect ending.
