What to Expect
This 6-hour tour provides an amazing adventure to the Florida wetlands to see alligators, turtles and a multitude of birds in their natural environment. Setting out with a pick-up from Kissimmee, Lake Buena Vista and International Drive, you will head for the Central Florida Everglades.
Here you will zip across wetlands on an educational airboat ride that is full of surprises. Look out for marsh birds and rabbits as your Captain whisks you along.
Then move on to one of Florida’s best-known attractions, the Alligator Capital of the World at Gatorland. Since it opened in 1949, the adventure park has been providing delightful memories to millions of visitors.
Located on the South Orange Blossom Trail, it provides opportunities to see exotic wildlife in a 110-acre wildlife preserve. Walk along the boardwalk through a breeding marsh to see ibis, egrets and heron.
Take in one of the shows, such as the Gator Jumparoo or Gator Wrestlin’. Watch daredevil handlers catch 8-foot alligators before climbing on their backs. Visit the Flamingo Lagoon, lit up by a colony of American flamingos, or scare yourself as you come face-to-face with the snakes of Florida.
You will have plenty of time to explore on your own, so pay a visit to the petting zoo, go on a nature walk, join an educational wildlife program, or jump on Florida’s best little train-ride.
Stock up on ‘gator-related souvenirs in the well-stocked gift shop, and when it is time for lunch, enjoy some corn dogs and ‘gator nuggets in the lively smokehouse.
