What people are saying about Open-Air Museum
Fabrizio and Victor made this the best thing we have done in Rome. Places that we had seen before on previous trips, came to life as they talked to us about them, with great stories, lots of laughter, real interest in and passion for their city. The golf carts meant that we could hop off when we wanted to walk around a piazza or one of the sights, then hop back on for a ride to the next place. The guides made sure they knew what we were interested in, and took us to wonderful places, little known but real treasures, as well as all the real touristy things. We had two golf carts for the four of us - two of our members were elderly and somewhat disabled. The tour enabled them to see a remarkable amount in 4 hours and to enjoy every minute of the experience. I would strongly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Rome for a short visit, anyone with a disabled guest - indeed, anyone at all! It was really excellent. Thank you so much, Fabrizio and Victor. You made this holiday wonderful.
Our driver Mauricio was very informative and made the drive to Pompeii and Positano both interesting and entertaining. He had chilled water for us, stopped for panoramic photo opportunities, and took numerous photos of our family for us. He even called ahead and arranged for a seaside dining table for us in Positano. What personal service. Our private tour of Pompeii was greatly enhanced with the personal knowledge of our guide Giatono. As a third generation guide of Pompeii he not only has in depth knowledge of the city and its history but brings the ancient city to life with great anecdotes about daily living and its comparisons to modern life. Giatono made history a vibrant, living story that we can learn from to enhance our future lives and avoid the mistakes of the past. We would definitely book this tour again as seconded by our two sons, aged 34 and 38.
Tour was perfect. We got to see all the highlights of the city up close. While on route Daniele asked questions to help him personalize the tour and he took us to a few special spots and he ended our tour perfectly a block from the Vatican, where we were spending the afternoon. The golf cart was fun and gave us better access than the hop on, hop off busses. Daniele made great recommendations for places to eat and other additional items to see while in a Italy. My family loved it. Great tour, fun guide. Money well spent. Thank you all for a great tour.
We took a tour of Rome with Roberto recently and while it's not the cheapest way to see Rome, I found it an extremely comfortable and easy way to navigate to streets and crowds of Rome and would recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. We stopped at a few churches at convenient spots as well as being pointed out interestings things to see. We were able to see the most popular fountains buildings and squares and Roberto's relaxed commentary gave us a good introduction to the history of the city.
First off we have to comment on our amazing driver Riccardo! He was knowledgeable, respectful, and such fun. He recommended traditional restaurants in Sorrento as well in Rome where we were stayed by. Also, our guide in Pompeii was Elena and she was very energetic and super knowledgeable. What an amazing day tour!! You must take this opportunity when in Rome. The food and the beverages in Sorrento are so different and the people are spectacular!! Thank you Riccardo and Elena!!
