First stop on the way to the Troodos Mountains is at the Chrysorriatissa Monastery, a 12th Century monastery, view its vineyards planted in the end of the 18th century produce some of the finest white Ayios Andronicos and Ayios Elias and enjoy the magnificent valley overlooking Kannaviou dam. The tour continues towards Kykkos, passing through the Pafos forest. Arriving at Kykkos Monastery, you will be guided through the renowned and rich Monastery as well as to visit the Archbishop Makarios’ tomb in Throni where you can enjoy the breath-taking view of almost all the islands! We drive on to “Timios Stavros” famous for its cross of 25meters high which overlooks Marathasa Valley. There will be free time to enjoy your buffet lunch (price not included) or free time to enjoy the magnificent view. On the way to Omodos we will drive through the pine forest, pass the highest village of Cyprus, Prodromos and tourist Platres. Omodos is a traditional wine producing village, you can walk through the cobbled streets to reach the village square lined with cafes and shops selling wines, olive oil and other local products or visit the church of the Holy Cross and then enjoy a Cyprus coffee in the square. Discover the Troodos Mountains on a guided jeep tour from Paphos. Start with pickup from your hotel in Paphos, Coral Bay, Kissonerga, Chloraka, Kato Paphos, or Yeroskipou. Drive to the second-largest dam in Cyprus for a photo stop while you learn about the area. Visit the traditional village of Salamiou to taste Cypriot coffee. Drive through Mesana and Arminou villages to see one of the most beautiful dams in Cyprus, the Arminou Dam. Go off-road as you ride through the forest to cross the river and stop at the Venetian Bridge of Tzelefos. Go over and under the bridge. Go for a scenic drive to admire Paphos forest and Troodos Mountains range with a photo stop. Go off-road. Go for a short walk in the forest. Continue to the forest off-roading to stop at the Chantara waterfall (swimming if the weather permits!). Next, visit Omodos, a wine-producing village, where you can taste some sweets and nuts with carob syrup. Visit the Medieval Wine Press. Time for lunch. Then you are given some free time to visit the Timios Stavros Monastery and other places of interest. Visit a 199 years old winery to taste wine, try the oldest wine ever made, Commandaria. See the Ancient Olive Tree of Avdimou and drive to Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of the goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite, before heading back to your hotel.

The adventure continues, and you will enjoy an incredible view from the Olympos, the highest peak of Troodos Mountains at an altitude of 1952 m. As the tour continues,we will stop at the Omodos wine region and make another stop at the village winery for some free wine tasting. On our way from Paphos we will visit the Ayia Paraskevi Church in Yeroskipou. This church is worldwide recognized as an extremely significant example of Byzantine architecture. In Yeroskipou we will have the opportunity to sample and buy the local made delights. We will then discover the archaeological remains of Kourion - which was one of the island’s most important city-kingdoms in antiquity - are of the most impressive on the island, and excavations have unearthed many significant finds, which can be viewed at the site. The tour will continue to the Omodos village where we will have a lunch in a traditional Cyprus tavern. Wine tasting in a traditional winery will follow. On the way back we will stop at the Aphrodite’s Rock - Petra tou Romiou, the legendary birthplace of the ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite. Lunch is included in the price.
