What People Are Saying About Omaha Beach
I am sorry that I have forgotten my guides name but she was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate and helped me retrace the movements of my fathers regiment, the Canadian Scottish C Company. She did the tour in both languages and provided very touching insights. The museums were very well laid out. My lunch choice wasn't the best but the rest of the day was everything I had hoped for
Lena was extremely pleasant, was able to answer all of our questions and took the time to ensure that everyone in the group had a good experience.
This was a great day trip from Paris, an easy train with no changes taking us to a clear meeting point. The Caen war museum was thoughtfully laid out and contained so many aspects with so much information - our guide was great at showing us round in a well informed, well paced tour of first the museum, then later the American and British landing points. Plenty of time to set your own pace when given your own time to explore each site after some initial information. Tour was a great size so easy to meet others and interact with guide. Excellent lunch and great driving. I fully recommend this tour!
Great wart at Caen Memorial, right amount of time and pace, and excellent informed visit to the beaches. Guides were superb.
It's too bad that our afternoon excursion to the beaches included 2 French couples. It made it very difficult for Rosie as she gave us an English explanation, then had to do the same explanation in French. If the tour would have been just English speakers, we could of had more back and forth between us and Rosie about questions we had. The information we got was very good, but I felt that it was not to our benefit to have French speakers on a tour when we requested an English tour.
