Ollantaytambo Sanctuary

DAY 1: We will start this great adventure with the pick up from your hotel at 8:00 am to go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Pisac, Colonial Inca, discover one of the Inca archaeological sites, on top of the mountain with impressive stone walls, agricultural terraces, irrigation systems and the largest cemetery of the Inca Empire. Time to shop at the craft market, where artisans sell their ceramics, textiles, jewelry, Andean instruments, alpaca products, and souvenirs. We will continue our trip of approximately 1 hour through the Sacred Valley to Urubamba where we will have time to have lunch in one of the local restaurants that offers several traditional dishes, made with fresh products. In the afternoon, visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, where you can appreciate the technique with which the Incas worked the stone, the last Inca citadel standing. The city is built on ancient Inca buildings. Explore the archaeological site of the city that has temples, terraces, warehouses and a large Inca monolith. Next, we will depart by train from the Ollantaytambo station, we will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, where our staff will assist you to stay in one of the hotels in Aguas Calientes. (Select between a tour with or without accommodation). DAY 2: In the morning the guide will pick you up at the hotel to board the transport that will ascend an intricate path giving us a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that shapes the famous canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome you with its incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial precincts and urban areas where energy emanates from all over the place. After a guided tour, you will have the opportunity to have lunch in one of the restaurants in the area. At the coordinated time, we will return by train and we will be transferred to the hotel in Cusco, ending with a great experience.

Get picked up from your hotel in Cusco and travel to Chinchero. Explore the archaeological site and and visit an Andean textile center to learn about the processing of alpaca wool. Next, travel to Moray to see the circular terraces. These fascinating structures were used as agricultural laboratories by the Inca. Later, move on to Maras and its 3,500 salt extraction sites. Learn about the extraction process and have some time to take photos and videos. At noon, go to the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Urubamba. Stop for a delicious Andean Buffet lunch. Continue your journey at the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. There, you can discover Inca architecture and design and take in spectacular views of the valley. This tour ends at Ollantaytambo at 3:30 pm. You have the option of staying in the main square or taking the train to Aguas Calientes. Note: The rest of the group will continue the Tour to visit Pisaq and finally come back to Cusco *Because we will visit 4 tourist attractions, please note that the time to visit each one will be limited and information will be given on the bus.*

Day 1: Cusco | Alpacas farm | Sacred Valley | Pisac | Ollantaytambo Cusco 7:45 AM We will start with the pick up in the lobby of your hotel after having had breakfast at your hotel, our transport together with our guide will take us from Cusco to the Sacred Valley of the Incas passing through Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo and PucaPucara (without stops ). Awana Kancha Here we stop for about 30 minutes, the purpose is learn about textiles and the weaving process. We can appreciate different species of Llamas, Alpacas, Vicuñas and take pictures them as well. Taray Viewpoint From this lookout point, we will have the time to capture the best classic pictures of the Sacred Valley with its famous terraces along the Urubamba river. Pisac Archaeological Park Will drive you up to Pisac Inca site to enjoy stunning views over the valley. Here you can appreciate temples, residences, altars, channels and learn all about the Incan agricultural methods shared by our expert guides. Pisac Market We will visit a traditional market in the Village of Pisac and interact with the local people and purchase some local souvenirs. the Pisac Market is very famous and highly visited as we can learn about pottery, jewelry and textiles. Urubamba 1:00 PM: Enjoy an extraordinary buffet lunch (with vegetarian options available) in one of the best restaurant Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo 2:40 PM: Our last discovery of that day: The terraces and ruins of Ollantaytambo. This place was highly protected as it was the entrance to the road to Machu Picchu. Therefore, many things happened here during the Spanish invasion. Then we will take you to the station to board the selected train, when booking you can choose to travel by normal train or Vistadome 360° panoramic train. This 1:45 minute train ride will allow you to see incredible views of mountainous terrain before seeing Machu Picchu. Aguas Calientes 18:10 PM At the exit door of the train station we will be waiting to take you to your hotel where you will spend the night, after check - in, you have the afternoon free on your own. Day 2: Machu Picchu and in the afternoon return to Cusco Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu 07:00 AM After having our breakfast at the hotel we will move with our guide to the bus station in the same town. This bus will take us to the main gate of the Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu where we will begin our unforgettable experience. Take the classic photo from the highest part of Machu Picchu and then visit the lower part. Our guide will share all his knowledge about the history of this incredible place. After finishing the visit, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you will have time for lunch (lunch is not included). At the indicated time, you will board the train that will take you to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Ollantaytambo, Cusco Upon arrival at the train station, our transport will be waiting to take us back to your hotel in Cuzco. Estimated arrival time 18.30 PM

Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting at 7:00 AM at the Machu Picchu Reservations office in Cusco. We’ll drive you for 45 minutes to Chinchero. At Chinchero, our guide will show you around the old Inca site and a beautiful old church. You’ll also get to meet a local family and see how they make traditional fabrics with natural dyes. Next, we’ll visit Moray to see its amazing round terraces built by the Incas. Our guide will tell you about the history of the place and you’ll have time to take pictures and look around. Then, we’ll head to the Maras salt mines. You’ll learn how the salt is harvested and see some unique salt crafts. There will be plenty of chances to take photos. We’ll stop in the lovely town of Urubamba for a tasty buffet lunch around 12:30 PM. After lunch, we go to Ollantaytambo and tour the archaeological site there, finishing around 3:00 PM. If you’d like to end your tour in Ollantaytambo, you can choose to stay. Lastly, we drive to the Pisac archaeological site. Our guide will take you around the terraces and you can take more stunning photos. We plan to be back in Cusco by about 6:30 PM, after a full day of discovering the history and beauty of the Inca lands. When planning your trip, please note that travel time between destinations can range from 30 minutes to one hour by car. During these journeys, you’re not just traveling; you’re already beginning to enjoy the stunning views of the Sacred Valley. At each site you visit, you will have between 30 minutes and an hour to explore and deeply appreciate its historical and cultural significance. For those who have not yet purchased a tourist ticket, there is no need to worry. You can buy one at Chinchero, which is our first stop on the tour.

Finally, travel by tourist train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo, on the way you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes found on the banks of the Urubamba River. Upon arriving at Machu Picchu town, go to your hotel where you will spend the night to visit Machu Picchu the next day. Dia 2: The most anticipated day has arrived, after breakfast at your hotel take the bus from Aguas Calientes to the entrance gate to Machu Picchu where our tour guide will be waiting for you. Tour the main constructions of the lost city of the Incas and take photos and videos at the main viewpoints of the Inca citadel. Learn a lot about the history of Machu Picchu that our guide will share with you. After a two-hour tour inside Machu Picchu, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to have lunch and explore its picturesque streets. To finish the tour, take the tourist train from Aguas Calientes to the Ollantaytambo train station. When you arrive at the train station, one of our representatives will be waiting for you and then travel to Cusco. The tour will end when our transportation leaves you one block from the main square of Cusco.

Nuestro tour inicia 6:00 am a 6:30 con el recojo de hoteles o plaza de armas. para luego dirigirnos a nuestro primer punto de visita guiada Chinchero en este lugar conocemos unos de los mercados típicos en donde los locales nos enseñaran el proceso de teñido y hilado a base productos naturales además se les enseñara la diferencia de un producto sintético o alpaca. también conoceremos el centro arqueológico de Chinchero. nuestro segundo punto de visita será Moray conocido como el laboratorio inca de donde también podremos observar la majestuosa cordillera de los andes. así mismo continuamos para visitar el tercer punto Salineras con mas de 4000 posas de sal que aun lo trabajan los pobladores de este lugar. posteriormente nos dirigimos a Urubamba lugar donde disfrutaremos de un almuerzo buffet un poquito de la Gastronomía Peruana. después de nuestro delicioso almuerzo buffet nos dirigíos al cuatro lugar de visita ollantantaytambo conocido como la ciudad inca viviente por que es las montañas de este hermoso lugar donde hay comunidades aun mantienen sus costumbre y trajes típicos. posteriormente vitaremos nuestro ultimo lugar de visita Pisac es aquí donde entenderemos que para los andinos no existía la muerte.

We will ascend to the majestic Archaeological Site built on the top of a mountain. Upon descending, we will have the opportunity to stroll through its vibrant artisan market, where expert local artisans offer unique pieces. The day will culminate with our return to Cusco, ending in the Plaza de San Francisco or Regocijo around 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco to visit the town of Chinchero, a traditional settlement with a beautiful view of the valley. You will learn about their traditions from your professional guide, and be able to visit archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church. From Chinchero, you will be transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay, a centre for Andean tradition. Here you can watch demonstrations of textile work, adobe, pottery, and silverware be carried out the same way they were in the 13th Century. Transfer to Ollantaytambo where you have free time for lunch. Afterwards, you can visit the town and local archaeological site and climb the iconic fortress. *Visits on Sundays include a tour to the Chinchero market.
