Cusco: Full Day Tour to Sacred Valley of the Incas

Discover the real essence of the Andes as you head out of Cusco on this full-day tour. The activity starts at 6:30 am or 7:30am, depending on the option selected. Visit the Inca site of Chinchero and walk along the Palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui (tenth king). At the end of the visit we move to the local artesanal workshop, wher the locals will do a demonstration of their dying and weaving techniques. Stop in Moray for a guided visit of the deep circular terraces of Moray. The purpose of the terraces is uncertain, but their depth, design and orientation with respect to wind and sun create a temperature difference of up to 15C/27 F from the top to the bottom. It is thought that the temperature difference was used to study the effects of different climatic conditions on crops. Visit the Maras salt mines, comprising around 3,000 small wells of about 5 square meters. They have been used since Incan times for economic exchange. Visit the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo and observe the impressive Inca Architecture at its best. End the trip with the visit to Pisaq and get amazing views of its agricultural terraces. Return to Cusco city, the arrival time will be by 6:30 pm.
