Enjoy seamless travel in a bio-fueled mini-coach. Heading east across the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge offers great views of the San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz Island, Fisherman's Wharf, and the Golden Gate Bridge. En route to the park the tour crosses through the Central Valley, where you will stop at a fruit stand for some local produce. Famous for its rich volcanic soil, the Central Valley is the largest agricultural region in the United States. The section the tour drives through is best known for specialty fruits and nuts such as almonds, walnuts, cherries, and strawberries. After this quick rest stop, you will enter the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. Continuing into the mountains brings you to California gold country and the gold rush town of Groveland before the tour winds its way into Yosemite National Park. On your 1.5-hour narrated coach tour of Yosemite's glaciated valley, you will see famous waterfalls and rock formations including Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in North America. Continue on past El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalveil Falls, Sentinel Dome, and much more. During the tour you will see Yosemite Valley from a number of great vantage points, the best of which is perhaps Inspiration Point. After the tour, you will stop for the afternoon near the base of Yosemite Falls. If you have not already picked up picnic supplies, there are many options for getting lunch in the park. You will have 3-4 hours of free time to explore the valley as you choose. You can walk to the base of Yosemite Falls, check out the visitor center, visit the Ansel Adams Gallery, stop in at the Ahwahnee Hotel, rent a cruiser bike, or hike some of the trails that originate from the valley. Although you could easily spend 3 weeks in Yosemite, the 3 hours you get on your own is enough time to understand why Yosemite is one of America's most popular national parks.

Food is provided, but you’ll have the unique experience of cooking over campfires and serving yourselves. The all-you-can-eat fare includes chicken, beef, and vegetarian options, offering a delicious and communal dining experience. Day 1: On the morning of your adventure, your guide will meet you at 8:15 AM on the Mason Street side of the Hilton Hotel in downtown San Francisco. After leaving the city, you’ll cross the fertile Central Valley and travel through California’s historic Gold Country on your way to the Sierra Nevada. Before entering Yosemite Valley, enjoy a scenic hike and picnic among the giant sequoias, the largest living trees on Earth. Towering up to 300 feet tall and over 30 feet wide, some of these ancient giants are more than 1,000 years old. Depending on group interest and timing, your guide will take you to one of three spectacular sequoia groves. Meals are not included on the first day, but you’ll have the chance to purchase food along the way. Next, continue into Yosemite for a 90-minute guided tour and take in your first views of the iconic Yosemite Valley, home to towering granite cliffs and cascading waterfalls and made world famous by the photography of Ansel Adams. Your guide will provide an overview of the park and lay out options for the days ahead. After some free time to explore the valley, head to your campsite to settle in, enjoy dinner, and relax by the campfire as you plan the next two days of your Yosemite experience. Day 2: Rise early and prepare breakfast and lunch, clean up camp, and head off in the van for a fun day full of hiking, sightseeing, and exploring. Usually the second day is reserved for exploring Yosemite's High Country. A group hike to May Lake and Mount Hoffman is generally the highlight of the day, depending upon snowpack. May Lake is a picturesque example of a High Sierra lake. If you want more of a challenge, you can continue past May Lake to Mount Hoffman. Located at the geographic center of the park, Mount Hoffman is a non-technical hike that rewards you with a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain landscape. Your guide will make sure the group takes full advantage of the park, while making sure everyone is comfortable, by customizing the hikes around the groups’ needs. At the end of the day, head back to camp for dinner and time to unwind by the campfire. Day 3: Day 3 is a free day, where the itinerary is based on the interests of the group. Normally the tour heads back into Yosemite Valley, where you can choose one of a number of great hikes, rent a bike, or relax in the shade by the emerald green Merced River. After a full day in the park, head back to San Francisco, arriving around 21:00.

Great full day! Our driver Aiden gave us a wealth of information on San Francisco and Yosemite. As it was an early start he allowed us time for a snooze on the way. We stopped half way for a toilet/coffee stop. Adjacent a supermarket. Aiden suggested we get sandwiches etc for lunch, as long queues in Yosemite. This proved to be very true and meant we could find a spot and picnic…much nicer than the fast food cafes…not to mention lunch was a lot cheaper! We had 3 hours in Yosemite and Aidan suggested the best trails to explore, inc the way that takes you close to the Yosemite Falls. It was a lovely experience. The scenery is stunning! Well worth the long trip to and from. A short stop off on the way home and some 80/90’s music to sing along to! Thanks Aiden we had a great day!!

Activities were good and included both guide-led and opportunities for independent exploration on the last day. The guide, Nick was extremely resourceful, polite, enthusiastic and always ready to help. Maybe the quality of food could be improved even within the limitations of a camping environment.

Great tour, if you have only 1 day for Yosemite and have never been or heard of. Great value for the price. Road is a bit tiring, but that’s okay. We’ve had a great tour guide David! The most caring, enthusiastic, cheerful, above and beyond bright god given person! 🙏

it was absolutely great. Lawton the guide did an amazing job and is super knowledgeable and passionate. One thing that was not great is the sleeping pads. they're old and lose air super quick so that you're sleeping on the ground essentially

Great trip, filled with activities. Multiple hikes, swam in the lake, even saw two bears.
