Take this full-day adventure tour to Trolltunga, the Troll’s Tongue. Hiking up the amazing valley and climbing a via ferrata to the Trolltunga Plateau. Admire the views from the world-famous Trolltunga. Meet at the local partner’s office in the morning. The tour starts with 6-kilometer on an old gravel road along the beautiful Ringedalen Lake. The 6 km is divided into 2 km transport with a car, and then we hike the last 4 km. At the end of the road, ca 1 km with steep uphill hike will bring you to the start of the via ferrata. Steep, but the good news is that for every step uphill, the view gets better and better. And at then end you will find yourself enjoy the view as you climb 250 meters up the rockface, helped by metal rungs and a strong cable. At the top you’ll have a short lunch at the Endåne viewpoint. From there, hike 3 kilometers to arrive at Trolltunga. Take in the spectacular scenery, before making the return trip along the tourist trail.

Meet your guide at P2 in Skjeggedal and take the shuttle bus to start the hike at P3 to save some time and energy. Be prepared, as it can still take 9-12 hours to hike the rest of the summer trail to Trolltunga. Along the way, several viewpoints will reveal how steep and beautiful the valley is. Have several small stops for snacks and drinks on the way. At the same time, your guides enhance your hiking experience with lots of good motivation, their local knowledge about the nature, local history, and the best lunch and picture spots. Stand on top of the famous rock formation peeking out 700 meters above the valley. See the majestic blue lake Ringedalsvatnet and the Folgefonna Glacier in the far distance. When you look to your right, notice that your guide is abseiling down to get the best shots of you. After the photoshoot, enjoy a bit more time around Trolltunga before heading back.

Experience the beauty of Trolltunga and the Norwegian mountains on a 2-day guided hike. Enjoy a comfortable stay in a dome tent with a see-through ceiling and a delicious dinner with a view. Take in the stunning views of the sunrise and sunset from the mountains. Meet your guide at the Trolltunga Active base at P2 parking in Skjeggedal. Take a shuttle bus to P3 to save time and energy. While hiking to the camp. admire the views of the mountain lakes, steep rock faces of the valley Ringedalen, and the Folgefonna glacier in the distance. During the hike we will short stops to refresh yourself and listen to information about the area. 2 km before arriving Trolltunga we get to the camp, you 'check in', the guide might arrange a cup of hot or cold beverages and some snacks. Leave your backpacks here and hike the last stretch to Trolltunga. Arrive at the "Troll's toungue" to take pictures, explore the surroundings, and enjoy the view without the crowds. Head back to the dome for a delicious dinner. Choose to enjoy conversations with each other, play games, read Norwegian stories, or observe the colors of the evening skies. After a good sleep in the dome, wake up to a new morning. Migth be a second visit to Trolltunga/if the weather in the evening was not to good. Your guide prepares breakfast in the tent. Alternatively, sleep in and wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. After enjoying breakfast, pack your stuff together and start the hike back to civilization.

This adventure includes the best of all our tours to Trolltunga, the Troll’s Tongue. The tour starts with a 6 km hike along the beautiful Ringedalen Lake, here we transport you the first 2 km, and then we walk the next 4 km on a gravel road. At Endenut you’ll settle in at Trolltunga Sunset Dome, a campsite not far from Trolltunga. The guide will prepare a delicious outdoor dinner, tasting even better combined with the stunning views towards the Ringedalen lake, Tyssebotn, and Trolltunga. Watch the sun disappearing behind the Folgefonna glacier and end the evening at the Trolltunga Sunset Dome, while listening to Norwegian fairy tales. The next morning enjoy breakfast with freshly baked bread and the beautiful, intense, magical nature.

Odda: Overnight Hike to Trolltunga

We will meet at 11:15 at the Skjeggedal (P2) meeting point. Our guides will welcome you and then shuttle you up to Mågelitopp (P3), where the hike begins. The hike to Trolltunga is 10 km long, offering stunning views of Folgefonna Glacier, Lake Ringedal, and the magnificent surrounding nature. Along the way we will make small detours to hidden gems and make stops at the very best photo spots. Around 15:00, we will serve you a classic Norwegian mountain lunch at our picturesque lunch spot. Depending on the pace of the group, we will reach Trolltunga around 17:00. Here, you will have plenty of time to enjoy one of Europe's most spectacular rock formations. Upon arrival at camp, you will be assigned a private tent for you and/or your travel companions. The camp is a short walk from Trolltunga, so if you want to head back for the sunset that is possible. In the evening we prepare our famous local Reindeer stew (or vegan option). After dinner, you have time to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views and enjoy the company of the group. If the weather permits, we will make a campfire where you can prepare Norwegian S’mores and drink hot chocolate with whipped cream. If the sky is clear, we can see a beautiful starry sky over the mountains. There is a possibility for an evening excursion to the original Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen), a stunning cliff formation as magical as the more famous Trolltunga. For an extra good night's sleep, we recommend a swim in our secret pond. It’s cold, but no one has ever regretted it! Your guides will wake you up early the next morning and serve you breakfast and coffee/tea in bed. After breakfast, we will get the chance to experience Trolltunga again in the special morning light before we start our way back to civilization. We should be back at the parking lot between 14:00 and 15:00, depending on the weather and the pace of the group. We will provide: tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, sleeping liners, food, coffee/tea, and some local surprises. All you need is a backpack, warm clothes, optional swimwear, and snacks. During Autumn all hikes to Trolltunga start on P2 parking in Skjeggedal. A long yet unforgettable day liesahead of you. Normally, it is necessary to walk with micro spikes part of the tour. First you must “conquer” the steep uphill. This hike is a challenge, but you are prepared! All you hear is the crunching sound ofyour spikes breaking the ice layer and your breath. The fresh mountain airfills your lungs, and you finally reach the top of that long hill. Soon you find so many marvels alongthe way to Trolltunga - incredible views, mix of autumn colors, snow, all seasons. The Ringedalen valley and amazingview towards the Folgefonni Glacier. Even your simple sandwich for lunch tastes like a Michelin Star dish up here. We keep on going to see what is coming next. You will be rewarded withTrolltunga in its winter suit majestically rising above the half-frozen Ringedal lake. The clouds rolling in, fighting with the beam of the sun. Be aware that the weather during the Norwegian autumn is unpredictable, it can change at any time. This is nature,it is pure and real up here! But do not worry, your guides are educated inreading the mountain conditions and has a lot of experience in this terrain.Your safety is our priority! That is why on the iciest days, we can not guarantee that it will be safe to go down on the rock itself. We will make sure to show you alternative and equally beautiful photo spots and that you will feel like a true explorer after this one-day expedition.

This guided tour to Trolltunga offers spectacular scenery with views of mountains, fjords, deep valleys, waterfalls, and glaciers. The hike to Trolltunga is long, covering 28 km from Park 2 and 20 km from Park 3. This demanding hike is suitable for those with at least medium hiking experience. We provide snowshoes and poles if needed. Meeting Point: We meet in Skjeggedal (P2) at 08:00, where you will meet our guide. If conditions allow, we can drive up to Mågelitoppen (P3), saving us 4 km and 400 vertical meters! We will have breaks along the way, and our guides will show you some spectacular hidden gems. Meeting point in Skjeggedal (P2) at 0800. Here you will meet our guide. If conditions allow us, we will be able to drive up to Mågelitoppen (P3), which will save us 4km and 400 vertical meters(!). We will serve a delicious lunch, hot drinks and local snacks. See the packing list below of what you need to bring for the hike. We will have breaks along the way, and our guides will show you some spectacular hidden gems. The duration of the hike is about 10-12 hours. Remember that the weather changes quickly in the Norwegian mountains, the weather forecasts are often unpredictable and even on a summer day there can be snow. It is important that you wear good outdoor gear and have some extra clothes with you if it is cold. You never know what the weather will be - if you are lucky to get a sunny and warm day, a towel and swimwear could be nice to bring if you want to take a refreshing and cold swim in the mountain lakes. Packing list: • Sunglasses • Sunscreen • Snacks • Waterproof jacket and pants • Waterproof hiking boots • Warm baselayer, preferably wool • Water: 1,5 liters • Backpack - minimum 30 liters + rain cover • Mittens, hat and buff • Warm wool socks x2 • Down jacket or warm sweater The list is based on what we think is most significant to bring. The most important thing to remember is to bring enough warm clothes. Our best tip is to use wool as it will keep you warm, even when it's wet.

Take a RIB tour from the center of Odda to discover the Hardangerfjord area. Board the boat at the harbor in Odda, and set off. Pass the hydroelectric power plant in Tyssedal as your guide tells you about the importance of water to Norway’s industrialization. Continue to Ullensvang, the fruit garden of Norway. On both sides of the fjord you will see steep mountains, and hillsides filled with small fruit farms growing apples, cherries, pears, and plums. It was a really beautiful guided hike that was not too challenging but really rewarding. The accomodation at the top was great regarding the food, scenery and tents. You do have to have a basic fitness level in order to complete the hike.
