You’ll eventually reach Nine Miles, a quaint village in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann. It was here, on the 6th of February 1945, that the legendary King of Reggae was born, and the very same place he was laid to rest.

Once on the property, you’ll be joined by Rastafarian guides who will shares insights into the life of young Bob Marley and his musical career. See the room he slept in as a child—when he was an adult he used the same room as a “chill spot” when he visited. Visit a nearby Ethiopian Church where the Marley Mausoleum is located. Here you’ll see 2 tombs: one where Bob is laid to rest with his guitar and his half-brother, Anthony Booker; the second is where their mother, Cedella Booker (“Mama Marley”) is buried. Dance and sing along with the live reggae band during the tour of the village.

Next, travel to the community of Mt. Zion to visit a revival church to experience another piece of Jamaica’s rich heritage and culture.
