Overall rating
the salt mine was fun, just that the lady at the salt mine reception was rather rude when telling us that we can't use the inside toilet after exit, it can be informed in a better manner, perhaps we are Asian so we 'deserve' 2nd class attitude from her. but the guy who brought un on the train ride was nice. guide was ok, pretty sleepy though with his talk, then again he is just an old man, can't ask for too much, just have respect.
Eagles Nest a a beautiful alpine area with breathtaking views. Do not expect much in the historical perspective because I noticed that Germany would rather forget that past rather than memorialize it. I'm a history buff but respect that. The guide shared some anecdotes that we wouldn't know on our own. Berchtesgaden free time was awesome to roam around. Enjoy the views and the guides interesting information.
Absolutely such an awesome day! My study abroad friends and I decided to do both tours and we got stellar tour guides and an awesome experience. The Sound of Music Tour brought me back to my childhood, with some history on the side. The Salt Mines were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before in this adorable German town! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone and everyone.
We loved the tour- everything was beautiful! The second stop had a cute bakery where we got some pastries and looked out at the mountains. Our guide Leo really made the trip great- very informative and fun commentary!
It was really beautiful tour. We had a lot of fun. Our tour guide was nice. The view up in the alps was breathtaking.
