Torchlight tour of the old ironworks

Torchlight tour of the old ironworks

The tour places a particular focus on industrial history. Where workers high up filled the boiling blast furnace in the biting wind or down below, protected only by hats and gloves, opened the tap hole, there was hellish noise, poisonous gases and sticky dust that ate into the lungs. This tour should also remind you of that. Explore the casting hall, bunker pockets, etc. and look forward to a fiery evening. The torches are available on loan for the duration of the tour.

What people are saying about Oberhausen

Overall rating

Apart from the fact that there were a lot of kindergartens there on Monday afternoon and the children were very annoying and loud, it was really nice. I don't understand why people complain about the behind the scenes tour. For us it lasted almost an hour and was very informative. We were allowed to mix food and feed sharks, we were shown what they breed for the animals to eat and much more. But it is not absolutely necessary to see the exhibition beforehand, you can do that after the behind the scenes tour. In my opinion it is better after the tour because you have a better view and understanding. I have been to Sea Life for the fourth time and will definitely visit again. If you like the water world, you will enjoy the exhibition.

We were very skeptical because the reviews online were pretty negative, and we only went along with it because our daughter really wanted to go. We were pleasantly surprised. We found both the facility and what there was to see very nice and informative. We were there on a weekday, so it wasn't that busy and you could look at and listen to everything very closely. Yes, I think the price is right. It's understandable that maintaining a place like this is very expensive, but maybe if it were a bit cheaper, more people could afford it and then the same thing would be achieved.

A unique experience! It was a lot of fun and perfect for those who wanted to be pilots as children. The organizer was very friendly, explained everything calmly and even brought us a coffee. I would personally recommend it :)

I liked everything. Minus: no fries for children. And the game rooms are very nice.

We were very very satisfied, my children had a lot of fun.
