Our guide Fernando was so well educated in the history and culture of Monte Alban it added tremendously to the absolutely stunning site. The highway construction forced a different approach to the site and a walk that not everyone would be able to do. This should probably be offered in the information before booking, which it wasn't. Overall the tour was well worth it and I would recommend it highly.

The tour and guide were great. The site is an amazing example of the pre-Colombian Zapotec civilization. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. It’s a lot of information to impart in a limited amount of time, but he did a great job of it. We even got free time to explore on our own. A great experience and awesome value for the price. Highly recommended!

Monte Alban is jaw-dropping. It is the most extraordinary place. Nobody should miss it. It’s so close to Oaxaca Juarez and has been restored so beautifully, it is a highlight of Oaxaca. Ivan was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable about the Zapotec monuments and the culture and history of the region.
