Full description
Get ready to discover some of the best places of Oaxaca State. Start with a visit to Santa Maria el Tule, home of one of the most extraordinary natural beauties including the  giant tree (The Tule Tree), with a height of 40 meters and a diameter of more than 50 meters. It is said it´s more than 2000 years old, which makes it perhaps one of the biggest and oldest living things in the world. You'll then make a little stop in the small town of Teotitlan del Valle, famous for its home-made textiles. One of the day's highlights will be a visit to Mitla, which in Nahuatl means "Place of the Dead". Mitla used to be a ceremonial center of the Zapotecs and it´s now famed for its outstanding mozaics on its walls, a unique style of decorating in Mesoamerica. You'll  continue the excursion with an adventurous ride to Hierve el Agua, where you'll have the chance to see the petrified waterfalls and take a refreshing dip into the mineral baths while enjoying the breathtaking landscape. Conclude the day in the most typical way; at a mezcal distillery. Learn about the traditional production process and you won´t leave before you have tasted Oaxaca´s sacred liquor.

For an organized tour of common tourist sites I felt it was well done. The guide seemed to do well switching from Spanish to English as our group had both. He was friendly, informative and humorous at times. We saw Tule Tree, Mitlan, a mezcal distillery and Hierve el Agua. The mezcal distillery was perhaps understandably large scale tho still using the artisanal method. Small one-person pelenques are something to experience. Hierve el Agua was quite an experience but do figure on hiking down to the bottom (we had a 'free' guide take us which was very helpful - the path isn't marked and we wouldn't have found everything on our own. He also warned us that many of the plants shouldn't be touched as they're poisonous and would sting. Just tip the guide when done). Enjoying the pools at the top was really neat. I felt they did a good job of explaining Mitlan's history and importance. Pickup and drop off was as expected.

Hi . Overall experience was good. Team was on time to pick up and provided enough time to explore each stop and provided lot of interesting background and facts to each and every stop. However we booked this trip with all inclusive especially all entry tickets and transport . As we got into the bus , we are told that we need to pay small donation to visit El arbol de tule and then another 40 pesos each to drive last patch of Hierbe del Agua. Explaination provided is uneven road . On the contrary we see all buses , cars and trucks parked. I am less concerned on the money but more on the principles especially when trip clearly said at the time of booking and confirmation email all entrance and transport included . These surprises left bad taste to our trip experience.

Long day but an interesting set of varied experiences. Pick up was informed as 9.30 am but received a call at 9 saying that the driver is waiting outside, hurried out skipping breakfast only to stop all over town for other pickups and to be brought to the centre, finally starting only after 10 am. The guide spoke lot of spanish but gave rather shortened explanations in not so great English. The return was told as 5-6 pm put turned out to be 7.30. Besides these logistics, the day was otherwise alright. The mezcal tasting was good. The weaving demonstration at Teotitlan was good as well. Mitla was ok. Hierve del Agua was great but the guide had no clue of the walking route, we figured it out ourselves. The lunch stop is a buffet only place but there was a reasonable selection for vegetarians too.
